"No. I choose when to enter a creature's mind, and I chose not to right there." Paradox got off the bed and started walking to the door. "Do you want me to get the information now or sometime else? Remember that whatever I find out, I will give it to exactly as I read."

"Alright. I'll be right back." Paradox walked off towards the cafeteria. He saw Garth eating several plates at the same time.

He sat down. "Hey Garth." "Hey Paradox. I see you got a new body." "Yes, but I'm not here to talk about myself. You and Daisy hit it off, and I want to know: Are you being serious with her or not?" Garth's beak moved and words spilled out, "Of course I'm serious. I wouldn't do it if I wasn't." Paradox read his mind and encountered the exact same phrase with no signs of it being a lie. This guy speaks his mind. "Thank you. Anyway, I'm going to go get some food and eat in my room." Paradox grabbed a tray of food and headed back towards Daisy's room. He knocked on the door. "It's Paradox. Are you decent?"

"You're right." Paradox took a step to the side and walked through the wall. "Sometimes I prefer to not buck with reality, believe it or not." He took a seat on Daisy's bed. "Are you ready?"

"His beak said that he was serious. His mind repeated the exact same phrase. He will not be leaving or hating you anytime soon. I didn't read this from his mind, but if you chop off his wings or something of the like, don't expect this to hold true."

She looked up and smiled.

"Thanks Paradox... at least that will stop the nightmares. Now we need to go. We have to get to the queen."

Daisy stood up and walked outside his door and woke up autumn and shyflower.

Garth noticed the group enter the cafeteria, got up, started walking towards them, went back to pick up his last bucket, and returned to walking towards them. "Hello. Are we all set to leave?" He put the bucket down and hugged Daisy.

Paradox walked up to Daisy. "I wasn't being metaphoric. He literally was eating buckets of food when the cooks ran out of plates."

As Autumn joined the group, he was reading a historical text as he walked. If what Paradox says is true, it could explain a lot of the mysteries in history. Like how Prince Regal Tail mysteriously disappeared and escaped an assassin, and would up on the roof of the castle. He might have teleported. That night, when Paradox wasn't around, and without thinking about it, he placed the guide to magic in Shy Flower's bag. I need to be careful with what I think.

Paradox trotted next to Autumn as they set off. He whispered loud enough to be heard by Autumn but by none other, "Yes, yes you do. I'd rather not use my magic to figure out the answer, so why'd you give the book to Shy?"

"That is personal. I made a promise, and I would rather not break his trust. We all have our secrets." He looked over at Paradox. "I can see you are actually here for once. You must be quite knowledgeable about those runes to be so powerful at magic. Are they ever a strain?"

"Then I'll ask Shy when he's up to it, but I'm not going to be left in the dark. One way or another, I will find out. I'm not here in actuality. This is just a more detailed projection." Paradox shifted position and was suddenly on the other side of Autumn. "A strain? The newer runes take up more energy and during the mornings when my mind isn't fully focused."

Shy flower accepted the book.

"Thanks autumn!" They began to walk again.

Daisy looked over at them.

"Alright, you guys ready to head to victoria?"

"I'm ready. The servants of the castle were a great help and very generous. They gave me plenty of food and supplies." He looked through his bags. "Anyone need a sleeping bag? I usually use clouds when I sleep outside."

Daisy looked at Autumn.

"No need, we are going to be passing through the forest. We could use the grass as a pillow."

Shy flower looked over at Paradox.

"Magic just intrests me, that's all."

Paradox responded, "I know you're lying. I'd rather not have to use my magic to figure out what it is though. I'll ask one more time: Why do you need a book of magic?"

Garth walked alongside Daisy. "How far is Victoria?"

Daisy smiled.

"Pretty far away unfortunatly. There is a village inbetween, so supplies won't be a factor. Besides, I'll be ok if your beside me."

She smiled again.

Shy flower looked down.

"Everyone is right... you are persistant. I guess I am like you. I can use magic without my horn."

Autumn walked up to Shy Flower and Paradox. "I'm sorry Shy. I may have inadvertently told Paradox. I meant to keep your secret, but it is kind of hard around a pony that can read minds."
