How about once a year and official census/poll be created to allow people to show what they liked and didnt like about the forums and such, giving the development team/staff here an idea on things they could change or improve or such. Sorta like one BIG feedback thread.. i know we have this subsection for feedback, but I think more people would respond to a single yearly post than go to the trouble to provide feedback in here... Feel free to tell me this is a bad idea.. About six months ago we also did a similar survey focused around the site's roleplay system. I've actually been meaning to look into getting the ball rolling on another general feedback survey, since the original one we did ages ago proved to be a pretty good means of gathering a great deal of data regarding people's thoughts and concerns on various matters; some of which they may not have felt comfortable discussing openly had it not been anonymous. Constructive feedback - be it good or bad - is one of the most important things that we can hope to get. While surveys may seem a supremely dull thing to have to sit through, the information we can extract from them has proven extremely valuable in the past for everything from highlighting areas of particular weakness that need to be given more attention and focus, to showing us what our core strengths in the eyes of the community as a whole are. I like surveys... sounds weird but they are an integral role in shaping things..such as forums So Id be more then happy to sit down to a questionnaire for this wonderful place I call home Plus Im sure if you explained the usefulness of the survey, you would get quite a large response from the ponies here.
