Hello everypony, How's it going?

I need some help/tips with a drawing I'm working on. I'm planning to do Descartes ponified....it's this guy

I could have made him with clothes but since I'm just starting to draw ponies I decided to do a basic one. Here's what I have until now

(I know some things are just not right, like let's say the size of the eye or the position of some other stuff but that's not important atm)

I need tips on facial hair, and basically, How the Hell am I supposed to do the hair because it's seems it's too fabulous for me to draw it lolwut.

And why didn't I use the OC generator or something.... i dunno, Any kind of suggestion is highly appreciated. Thanks! biggrin.png

Ummmm... For one you can do his facial hair. Give him more hair, it should be covering everything but his hace and chin, and add some color to his hair. His hair is brown so add brown to his hair, but keep the black lines for his hair. Just send the brown parts to the back

Yes I do know I need to give him facial hair, but what I meant is that I need tips on how to do his type of hair (normal and facial) mlp styled, and now that you mention it, yeah his hair IS brown, thanks!

MLP style isn't very nice to individual hairs, unless you do a lot of them to make it look solid. The way MLP does hair, and facial hair, is to do the basic outline of the hair and just fill it in with a solid color. You need to give hair some volume, and color, since hair doesn't normally get spread out enough to see empty space near the head. I would suggest looking at ponies with facial hair and just figuring out how to change it a bit to work with your drawing. Best of luck to you!
