Jon the VGNerd 885 March 24, 2013 Share March 24, 2013 Once again, this is a feedback, but also my first year on the forums since last year of joining here under the name as "Jon the VGNerd" before having to switch back to the new and current username as "Heavyshy" around October. So basically, out of all the forums I have visited, stayed, and left, mainly due to having no interested in it anymore or because of the forums having a massive dislike to the My Little Pony franchises, which of course, prompted me to leave and not return, which was a good choice for me. Ever since I joined MLPForums last year on March 23 (the exact same date I'm in upon joining here), a lot of the community have gotten quite along well with me and I have gotten along well with them as well, along with most moderators and administrators. Basically, my first impression is that this is the only My Little Pony forum community I would find from Google. Who'd know Google would be useful for once when it comes to trying to find the right forums that are MLP-related and once I came on here, it took me a couple of second to join or not to join, but in the end, I became willing to take part of the MLP Forums and had to find my way around, even though it was a bit tedious at first, but considering as how I've been to different forums in the past, you could pretty much say that I'm quite a fast learner. The most notable contribution I made on the forums were making MLP-related vehicles from different racing franchises, even though I rarely do so nowadays due to college being a total handful that's impeding me from ever having a free time to design them. Not only that, I ended up having MLP dreams, which were really great, but I don't wish to spoil anything, so I'm sure you do get what I mean. Even though the MLP Forum Skype Chat was discontinued, I did gotten along with most of the people, even the staffs. Along with that, there are also moderators and administrators, especially those such as Aureity and Arylett Dawnsborough, like I mentioned earlier, they're really great at keeping a watchful eye out, even though the forums did had a recent DDoS attack from last year, but those attacks are a rarity nowadays (not the pony from MLP, hehe), one of the reasons why I love the forums out of other forums I have visited in the past (even though I have already mentioned that, can't tell, my memory's quite foggy, heh). Overall, it's been at least a year for me on the forums and as of 2013, I'm still enjoying my stay here and am always willing to make contributions to the forums, even though I'm still lagging behind because of the exaggerating amount of college work I've been getting this semester (and I'm graduating it in November, which seems a pretty long way to go). So, even though I've already made a feedback for the review of the forums from last year, I'm sure it doesn't hurt for me to review it once more, and to say that no matter how old I get or how many years they pass by, I'll always remain at the forums no matter what, even though I would have to temporarily leave for several reasons (be it on trips, or even going to the BronyCon someday, but no one knows, not even I know when will it happen), but overall I'll always remain here, because not like my friends in real life that have already went separate ways after my graduation in high school, but basically, even though I'm just a loner in real life, I'm never alone on the forums because I know the community are always at my back, and I always watch theirs too. And that, was my review of my first year on the MLP Forums. Hope you everypony like it.
Zoop 8,384 March 24, 2013 Share March 24, 2013 Glad to hear that you're still enjoying your time here and aren't in a rush to get out after sticking around a full year. The feedback is appreciated! Hopefully you'll have similarly positive things to say when your second anniversary here comes around.
