Pony remixes: Getting started

Hey guys, I want to get started making some pony music, but I'm not sure where to begin, I have audacity and to me that's pretty much more of an editing system than an outright creation software, I can only really play the piano and a bit of guitar.

So i'm looking for a reasonably priced studio software...Like preferably in the <$80 range, and perhaps someone nice enough to show me the ropes, I'd greatly appreciate it.

Also, I'm on a PC so, no garage band, haha, considering trakax:

Unfortunately, most music softwares are $80+ today.

As far as remixing, it's pretty easy. All you do is just put in your own beats, and your own rhythm. There are so many types of remixes as well.

Here's an example remix I did of "The Perfect Stallion". I used a music software known as Finale Printmusic, in which you input each note of the song in a staff.

It's only the instrumental with the melody, but you can add the voices with just a little tempo adjustment in audacity.

Ay yo Dark Fox, awesome that you want to get started makin' music! Maybe I can help you out!

Personally, I use Audiosauna, because I have a Chromebook. Which is designed not run anything. >img-1346779-1-sad.png

It's a pretty nice DAW that works online! (No cash required!)

If you have little to no experience making music, i'd reccomend starting with that before going to something advanced. img-1346779-2-wink.png

I also found this other online DAW that's a bit more complicated. My computer sucks, I can't run it without it getting buggy. >_<

Here are a couple song I made with Audiosauna:

I'd also highly recommend getting a SoundCloud account, it's the best way to get recognized.

As for remixing, it's what Thunder Dash said: Just interpret the song in your vision.

If you need any help, please come to me. I'd be happy to help! img-1346779-3-smile.png

Sounds good Brev, I'm strongly considering Trakax, it's like $60 and it does video too, but I have no decent comparison to go by other than audacity, are their certain features I should be looking for?
