I'm basically a guy who's going through horrible stuff at the moment who has an OC that I can't find anyone to draw it for me.

Then, I want to love this fandom but I'm slowly losing my love for it, and would need help realizing that there is hope for this fandom.

Something did happen.

When I first joined, I thought it'd be great. It seemed great too, the people were generally nice, despite a few who were mean to me when I met them.

Over time, I find more and more people who may be in this fandom, but are just completely rude and puts off anyone who isn't "Good enough" for them. I may meet someone, only to have them curse me out, insult me, then never talk to me again, because I inboxed them "Hi". And these are your popular, "Always happy to meet new people and really nice" Bronies. Then, I remember literally stating my opinion, but people begun to flame it and Mods began to delete them, or they were ignored, even though they respected "All" opinions. If that wasn't enough, Bronies I didn't even know or ever talked to get angry at me and call me a lazy attention whore for asking for drawings of my OC, and all of it makes me want to leave the fandom, and according to the majority, "Nobody gives a buck if you did leave and killed yourself."

listen, if there's any advice i can give you is this, 

 

1. all mods anywhere are power abusers no matter how nice they might act, they have the power to do what they want to do.

2. every fandom is full of idiots and assholes. that's just how it works, you get a little bit of both

3. celebrity's of fandoms will always think they are better than you because they get more attention, thats one of the reasons I tell people I don't want to be looked up upon as a brony because i don't want anyone to ever be afraid to ask a question or just talk.

4. no opinion is respected, everyone doesn't like someone else's opinion

 

now to be honest you can message me about anything you want to and i'm not the best at drawing but i'd be happy to attempt to help you, and feel free to flood my inbox with your "hi"'s just remember to have fun here and just be yourself.

Pretty much what ravecrocker said. There are bad apples in EVERY bunch, no matter where you go or what group you're in. Just skip over those jerks, and you'll see there are a lot of good people as well.
