Don't worry, you'll get used to the forum soon enough! To get out of Blank Flank status, you have to post 5 times. Post count does not increase in the RPing section (except the Advanced Roleplays) and Cloudsdale Colosseum. 

As for having fun, that's pretty easy - just find a section of the forum that you like and you'll be having fun in no time.
