How much time has gone by since the premeire (in universe)?

Something that has been bothering me lately.  I think about 2 years have gone by, but I'm not sure.  Season 1 is very close to a year, as it represented every season.  Seasons 2 & 3 give us more leeway.  But at least another year had to go by, since there was a Hearth's Warming Eve episode.  Anypony got any ideas on how to figure out the ammount of time that has passed since Twilight moved to Ponyville?

It's possible that we could find the Apple Family's last reunion, and then compare it with their latest one and the first episode, as they meet every 100 moons. Still, we don't know exactly what 100 moons means.

We have seen two winters pass by and when we last left off last season, it was warm and sunny (well, except with Rarity's bad weather skills). so I'm going to go with almost two years seeing as the first season started off in late Summer (Apple Buck Season - apples are usually harvested in late summer).
