Why can I no longer donate with my debit card?

So I made my last donation with my debit card for the "Get Feld0 to Bronycon" auction, and I said "Eh, what the hell?" and decided to donate again, but I notice now that I:

1. can only pick Canadian dollars as the currency, and

2. can only use PayPal to pay.

 

Why is this? I was able to pay with my debit card in US dollars last time. Don't tell me you've completely removed that option, because if so, that's the last you'll see of donations from me. I made a paypal account years ago, apparently, but I can't remember the password or the security questions, so I can't access that. Plus, my mother just had about $1200 stolen from her via PayPal, so I'm not really keen on using that. I would appreciate it if you'd reinstate the ability to donate via card.

It appears that our billing system prevents any further donations from non-admins once the donation goal is reached (something that isn't documented or hinted at anywhere - this is as much a surprise to me as it is to you ). Removing the $2000 goal from the fundraiser reinstated your ability to contribute toward it.

 

Unfortunately, this means that the amount raised is no longer visible to the public. I'll be in touch with IPS about it to see if they're willing to correct this. Sorry!

Ah! Glad to know it wasn't intentional!

 

My main intention was to just flat out donate, now that the fundraiser has reached its goal, but it wouldn't let me use my card at all, which makes donation impossible for me.

 

Thanks for making a temporary workaround. Hopefully, they'll be able to fix it. If not, then... eh. At least you know a way around it.
