My OC.

Here he is. I had many tries to fix some things. This was about my 3rd try. What do you think? 

 

His name is Darklight and he is my OC. So please rate. Tell me what to fix. (Exempt the tail and mane. I know i have to work on those.)

Sorry for the terrible quality. I didn't have a good camera at my disposal then. Since my brother took the good camera.

 

I really need better quality of the picture. My Mac's built in camera is not the best for this. I might add a better photo later.

Hm, it's looking pretty good! As for constructive criticism, next time you draw him, I'd make his head a bit bigger if you're going to draw his body that same way. Either that or keep his head the same. Also, when his neck reaches his back, make it connect with a curve instead of a right angle. And if you made the part of the flank that touches the tail a little squarer, that would be good. In my style, I make the hoofs a bit wider as well, but that's just my thing.

 

Hehe, I'm making it sound like it's terrible! But really it's not. To make up for the negativity, let me give you the good things about this! First off, it's better than the first pony I ever drew! You did really good with the legs, especially the front ones. I still haven't gotten those down. The head is really good! I always have a hard time making that muzzle for a stallion. The ears are very well curved. You managed to make the mouth look normal, something I still struggle with! The eyes are great! He looks like he could be a character in the show, which is always a good thing to me, for OC's too look at least slightly normal.

 

So all in all, great job!

So yeah. He was created to be in a show. Because the OC contest was that the top 3 oc's will take part in a fan made MLP show. So far its the contest creators favorite. Well he was. The contest was about 2 months ago. And im still awaiting for its end.

hindlegs are good, frontlegs need some reworking, to straight and slightly too thin at the moment.

To be honest my biggest issue at the moment is, that he looks pretty generic, mane looks like something from ponycreator and there must be a hundred blue OCs with brown manes out there. Maybe make him a bit more memorable.
