The ponies shook hands hooves and went on talking. "Well Farts, you've seem to have it good here. Nice mares, nice home." Frank said. "Must be a fuckin' dream life." Thunder just nodded, considering the consequenses of answering. "Well, it's not that much dreaming."

The two mares didn't really know what to say so they both walked to the table and grabbed the dishes from breakfast and put them in the sink to wash them in a minute. Charcoal walks over to Lighting and takes him out of his highchair. He was really sticky. "That is the last time I give you syrup until you are old enough to not get it all over yourself." Charcoal said as she brought him to the kitchen to wash him after Caprisha finished the dishes.

The three stallions were still talking about all kinds of stuff on the couch as Charcoal picked up Lightning. Thunder grabbed a six-pack cans of beer and gave the other two ponies and himself one. "Don't worry, there will be more for later use guys." He said.

Caprisha had finished washing the dishes and putting them all away. She drained the sick and washed out any food or anything that was in the sink. Then she filled the sink again and put in the baby soap for Charcoal to begin washing Lightning. Once it was filled she moved aside and let Charcoal have her turn.

The guys went on talking on the couch, though it was getting louder and louder as there was more being drank. The tv was still on but nopony was really watching it, since they were too busy talking to eachother about stuff that's benn happening since they were sent out.

The loudness of the three bucks in the livingroom was starting to get on Charcoals nerves. She took a break from washing Lightning for a second and peaked her head out of the kitchen so she could see the three of them. "Excuse me, could the three of you please quiet down a bit?" Charcoal asked as nicely as she could.

"Sure honey, sure." Thunder said, but without even noticing they were talking at about the same loudness not much later; you can't stop a couple of guys having fun. Nor can you stop them from making noise. Thunder gave everypony another can of beer. Stuff.

Charcoal had finished cleaning Lighting and was drying him off. Thunder and his friends hadn't quieted down like she asked and she wasn't sure how long she could stay calm with them like this. She finished drying Lighting and let him go play. She walked up to the couch where the three buck were still sitting. "Thunder, please quiet down."

"Listen Char, this isn't going to work out. If you can't stand the noise, then that's no big issue. Just take some money and have yourself a nice day." Thunder said as he hoofed over some bills to Charcoal so she could do as Thunder had just suggested for her.

Charcoal thought for a moment before taking the money and walking toward the door. She hadn't even been with Thunder a day and he was already doing something without her. She needed a good place to blow off some steam. She but on her coat and stepped outside, slamming the door behind her.

Even though Caprisha didn't usually mind ponies being loud even she had to admit it was starting to get annoying. She also got up and went to the bedroom where she found her bit bag and put it in her saddlebag. Once she had her saddlebag on she also walked to the door. "I'm gonna go too Thunder. Later that evening Frank and Mike were gone and Thunder was all alone in his apartment. Instead of doing something awesome he just turned on the television and started watching it.

Charcoal had gone to a few different places to release her stress. The massage didn't work, having lunch didn't work, even beating up some punks in an ally way didn't work.

 

That evening the hospital called Thunder, they practically have their number on speed dial, to tell him Charcoal was giving birth.

Thunder took the phone. "I'm on my way." Was the last thing he said before throwing the horn on the phone and he ran/flew off to the hospital.

Charcoal looked at Thunder with a tired look in her eyes. "Tired, but happy at the same time." She showed him the two little ponies. "Here is your new son and daughter." Charcoal said. She was having a very difficult time keeping herself awake after giving birth for a second time.

"Charcoal." Thunder said with a face as neutral as possible. "I think one of them isn't alive. The boy, he's not breathing." He said, shocked. He went to a nearby doctor and asked if he could survive. "Mr. Farts, we do our best to have him survive, but chances are pretty slim." The doctor said.

Charcoal looked at the little colt in her arms, he really wasn't breathing. She began to panic. She looked at the doctor Thunder was speaking to. "Well then do something about it!" Charcoal yelled. "Do something to save my baby!" Charcoal felt tears begin to form.

The doctor took the foal. "I'll do what i can." He said as he ran off with the foal.

 

About two hours later the doctor came back. He had a look of failure on his face. "I'm sorry, i couldn't save him." He said. Thunder fell back into a chair that prevented him from falling on the ground and sighed.

The doctor took the foal. "I'll do what i can." He said as he ran off with the foal.

 

About two hours later the doctor came back. He had a look of failure on his face. "I'm sorry, i couldn't save him." He said. Thunder fell back into a chair that prevented him from falling on the ground and sighed.

That broke Charcoal. She began sobbing into her hooves at the horrible news the doctor had told them. She still had her new daughter, but it wasn't the same. It wasn't the twins she had been preparing to have since the day she found out she had two foals inside of her.

Thunder had his head sunken in his hooves. He looked at the floor, still sitting in the chair he fell in not much earlier. Eventually he got up and walked outside. He took a cigarette and started smoking it. It reliefed him a bit, but not nearly enough . D

Charcoal just cried herself out. When she finished crying she felt even more tired then she had before. With her new foal in her arms she fell asleep leaning against the pillow against the back of her head. Just like usual she didn't have any dreams while sleeping, but she also cried in her sleep as well.

After finishing his cigarette Thunder went back inside. He entered the room and saw Charcoal sleeping with the new foal. He gave her a kiss on the forehead and so did he for his daughter. Then he went back to the chair and catched some sleep himself.

Charcoal slowly woke up. She looked out the window and saw the beginning of a sunrise. She looked down and saw only her daughter. She paniced for a second and looked for her son when she remembered that he didn't make it. She sat back in her previous position and felt herself start to cry again.

Thunder woke up from Charcoals crying. He layed his hoof on her shoulder. "Charcoal, i know it's horrible to lose a foal like this, i just did so too, but you have to be strong Char. I love you." He said, then he kissed her on the forehead and went to sit on the side of the bed.

Caprisha had gone to the house and seen that Charcoal and Thunder were gone. She had decided to see if there was any new messages on the phone and saw that the hospital had called. She ran to the hospital, which isn't easy for a pregnant mare, and found Charcoals room. She walked inside panting. "Hey... what'd I... miss?" She asked between pants.
