Caprisha cringed away from Thunders yelling. "I just got here, why are you yelling at me?" She looked at the ponies in the room and everypony in it. Then she thought for a moment and it hit her like a train. "W-where is the colt?" Caprisha carefully asked. She didn't have a good feeling about this.

Thunder fell back in the chair and started sobbing with his face in his hooves. "He's dead. He's fucking dead before we even had a chance to give him a name. Just minutes and then he was gone already." Thunder said between the tears that were streaming down his face.

Caprisha was shocked at the news. Even she could feel tears beginning to form. No, I have to be strong. We can't have a big cry fest or else they will never get over it. Caprisha walked up to Thunder and hugged him. She didn't say anything, but let her actions speak for themselves.

Thunder hugged her back. He felt the softness of her fur against the side of his face. Then he broke away from the hug and sat on Charcoals bed. He didn't look at her, he just sat there, looking at the shiny white floor of the hospital, splattered with blood.

"I... I'm sorry about what happened. Charcoal had been talking up a storm about how excited she was to be having two more of your foals." Caprisha said. She needed to chose her words carefully, else she would just upset everypony and they would start crying again.

"Yeah... I..." Thunder sighed. "I'm just gonna go home." He said as he got off of Charcoals bed. He then walked trough the door and out of the hospital, back to his apartment. Once he arrived there he went straight to bed. There he just lied down staring at the ceiling.

"Yeah... I..." Thunder sighed. "I'm just gonna go home." He said as he got off of Charcoals bed. He then walked trough the door and out of the hospital, back to his apartment. Once he arrived there he went straight to bed. There he just lied down staring at the ceiling.

Caprisha watched as Thunder walked away. She sighed and went to go comfort Charcoal for him. She had nine months of practice for calming Charcoal down, now she wonders if she will be able to calm her down after this. Let's just hope there won't be any more suicide attempts. She thought to herself.

For the rest of the day Thunder did nothing more but staring at the ceiling and letting tears drop every now and then. Eventually he fell asleep as the city around him started doing so aswell. The streetlights turned onn and the cars were driving away.

Caprisha decided to stay the night with Charcoal to make sure she stayed alright. She had gotten her calm-ish, which was better than before. She had curled up in bed with Charcoal and her unnamed filly in her arms. She was quite the cute little filly when asleep.

Thunder woke up in the middle of the night. He looked out of the window and saw the top of the hospital building. That madd him think of Charcoal and his new foals. And his dead son. He started crying again as he thought of what happened before. And stuff.

Caprisha was still asleep. She was having a bad nightmare. She was dreaming about that time, nine months back, where her own gang almost killed her because she didn't get some special rifle.

 

Charcoal was having a different dream. She was dreaming about what it would be like if she hadn't lost her son. She cried in her sleep because of that.

Caprisha woke up to sunlight in her eyes. She saw Charcoal was still asleep so she slowly slipped off the bed and into the hallway. She walked through the empty halls of the hospital till she got outside. Once she was outside she opened her bags with her magic and pulled out a cigarette and lit it.

Thunder got up and walked back to the hospital. Once arrived he saw Caprisha smoking a cigarette. "Well, well, well." He said to her. "If it isn't Caprisha, the mare that was upset that Charcoal loves somepony smoking cigarettes." He said, jokingly.

Caprisha gave him a hard look. "I'm not in the mood." Caprisha said. She blew a puff of smoke. "It was quite stressful having to care for Charcoal during the nine months you were gone. I kind of got hooked during that time." Caprisha finished off the cigared and ignited the rest with her magic till it was dust.

Charcoal looked at Thunder, her face stained with tears. "A-a-alright I guess." Charcoal said. "I'm doing better than before I think. I'm still broken up about our son though, I just wish he was able to have a chance at life." Charcoal said. She saw Caprisha walk in but didn't say anything to her.

Charcoal sighed as she leaned against him. "You are right. I'm sorry it broke me so badly." Charcoal said. "But you know, in a way I actually did get to know him. I'm the one who was carrying him around for all those months. I talked with him and ate meals with him."

"I'm glad too Char." Thunder said. He stood up and walked towards the door. "I'll be going now, in the mean time you could think of a name for our filly." Thunder then walked out of the door back to home where Caprisha was located. He walked trough the fall leaves towards the apartment.
