Lightning began crying and hugged one of Thunder's legs lightly. "It's ok daddy. I forgive you." Lightning said.

 

Charcoal smiled at this. "Aw, isn't that sweet." Charcoal said.

 

Caprisha smiled as well. "It really is. But be sure not to hurt your father... anymore than he already is anyway."

Thunder started to tear up. "I love you son." He said. As much as he could he tried not to think about the things that happened. That proved to be harder than he thought. He closed his eyes and slowly fell asleep in the wheelchair. Having constant pain is exhausting.

Charcoal smiled and went over to Thunder and Lightning. ((That sounds really cool together.)) She put Lightning on her back and went behind Thunder and gave his neck a light nuzzle before walking back over to the table and sat down. Lightning just sat down beside Charcoal.

Caprisha was the first to answer. "Not a whole lot happened while you were gone. But, I finally got my own place. Of course I also gave birth. And Charcoal got her kidnaped daughter back after so long. Apparently her parents kidnaped her while she was sleeping."

"I see." Thunder said. "Anypony mind rolling me back to my room, i could use a lie down for a bit." Thunder said complainingly. He was tired of all the pain he had in his body, but most of it came from his ripped apart wing. That was the most horrible thing right now.

"I'll do it." Charcoal said immediately. She gave Pyre to Caprisha and got behind Thunder's wheelchair and began bushing him. Lightning followed silently behind Charcoal as they walked down the hallways to get to Thunder's room as he asked them to do.

After they arrived at Thunders room Thunder tried to climb into his bed. With a lot of pain he managed to lie down, face first, in the bed. He didn't have his blanket over him so the still fresh wound of his ripped off right wing was very visible to the others.

Charcoal cringed a bit and covered Thunder with the blanket. Then she smiled and kissed him on the cheek, getting a grossed out look from Lightning. "Sweet dreams sweetie." Charcoal said. She then picked Lightning up and placed her on her back and began walking back to Caprisha.

Thunder fell asleep quite quickly. He didn't dream and his heart rate was normal. Even though his outside looked horrible, like he just came walking out of a horror movie, inside he was the same old Thunder Caprisha and Charcoal loved for a long time now.

Charcoal made her way back to Caprisha, Pyre, and Peach. The three of them were sitting at the exact same spot they were at before. And once again, Charcoal caught a few of the stallions in the room glancing in Caprisha's direction. It was kind of cute that they thought they would be able to have her.

The next morning Thunder woke up, still in the same position as he went to sleep. He turned himself around so he could see around the room and waited until somepony would come and get him, he didn't want to ask for help so he just waited for somepony to come.

Little did Thunder know, but both Caprisha and Charcoal "borrowed" hospital beds for them to sleep on. They were all on the opposite side of the curtain separating them in the middle of the room. Charcoal was awake. She was stroking a sleeping Lightning's mane while he was asleep.

Thunder kept waiting, observing the monitors that kept him alive most of the te. It was dark in the room. The lights were off and the window shutters were closed as well. All Thunder could see were some flickering lights around the room. And stuffzz.

Charcoal set Lightning to her side and got off the bed. She walked to the blinds with the intent to open them. Her black coat making her blend in with the darkness of the pitch black room they were currently sleeping in. But Charcoal intended to wake everyone up.

Thunder was surprised from the sudden light in the room, but he still waited for somepony to come to him now. It was taking very long now but Thunder waited patiently, even though he was getting really annoyed by nopony coming to get him or entertain him.

After Charcoal opened the blinds she could finally see enough to be able to walk over to Thunder's bed and sit down next to it. "Morning handsome. Did you sleep well last night?" Charcoal asked to get a conversation started so that things wouldn't stay silent.

Charcoal lost her smile as her ears flopped back and her head drooped. "S-sorry." Charcoal said in a quiet voice. She hadn't ment to upset Thunder is any way. All she wants to do right now is make Thunder happy and to know that things will get better, somehow.

Charcoal was silent for a while before nodding slowly. "Yeah, alright." Charcoal said. But now that was "over" she had no idea what to do now. She was drawing a blank for what she could ask Thunder and she wasn't sure what would make him feel better right now.

Thunder sighed. "I love you Char. I say that with no specific reason. I just felt the need to tell you that." He said. Then he paused for a second. Are you still upset that we lost our baby colt after he was born?" He asked Charcoal, turning his head towards her.

Charcoal was silent for a while before nodding. "I'm not like I used to be about that. I have accepted he is gone now and that I can't bring him back. But I still miss him so much." Charcoal said. She felt like she was going to cry, but she promised herself she wouldn't do that anymore.

Thunder was painfully holding his arms out for a hug with Charcoal. He had deep cuts all over his right hoof, but his left one was almost undamaged. "Come here Char, i miss him too. Let's hope something like that never happens to either of us." He had said.1
