The door opened, a curious Apple Bloom and smiling Fluttershy entered.

 

"Congratulations" Fluttershy walked over to the couple "I'm happy for you two"

 

Apple Bloom climbed on the bed which Sarah was lying in "Is it a boy or girl?" She asked

 

"Boy" Rock answered "I think..." He double checked "Yepp, Kevin's a boy"

 

"Oh cool!" Apple Bloom cooed "When will he grow up?"

 

Everypony shared a small laugh at the filly's naivety.

"A few years from now" Rock looked at Kevin "But he's going to need a big sister to help him"

 

"Oh! I can do that!" Apple Bloom waved her hand as were volunteering. During the 9 months of running from Francis, Rock and Sarah had seen Apple Bloom as an adopted child of their own.

Sarah smiled at her child and kissed his forehead.

Upon returning he saw Charcoal asleep and decided to leave her be and poured himself a drink and smoked a cigarette.

Charcoal was awokened by the smell of smoke... not the best thing to wake up to. "Whoa hey where is the-" Charcoal cuts herself off as she sees it is just Thunder smoking a cigarette. "Sigh, you really have to quit smoking those Thunder, they are bad for your health and just as bad for anypony who inhales the smoke." Charcoal says while taking the cigarette from Thunders mouth.

"Tired that's how I feel. And yes we probably see one soon, though from how long mares are normally pregnant it should be much more than a month or two until the foal is ready. It has been almost nine months since we found out so I don't think we will have to wait for much longer. And we can go to the apartment anytime you're ready to."

Packing a few clothes she never wears and definitely not forgetting Spike's dragon rifle Charcoal puts on her coat, with some minor difficulty, and hat and walks outside with Thunder. "You know, part of the reason that small apartment smelled so bad was because you keep smoking in there."
