So here we are. Another review of equestria girls. What, this is the 27th, 28th review thus far. I have seen and read good and bad things of this film. But for bordom's sake I might as well share my opinion. So let's get started.

Plot; Twilights crown is stolen by a mysterious mare and thus she must venture through a magic mirror to retrieve it. Once through she finds that she's not in Kansas anymore. Spike is a dog and Twilight's a word hasbro dare not use. After meeting her friends all over again its up to them to help Twilight win her crown back. This is an interesting premise but its a fish out of water scenario. So there will be some face palm moments. Their new character designs look like rehashed bratz dolls but their personalities are the same.

Protagonists; you know who they are. Their voice actors are the same, and their personalities are untouched. So redundancy.

The Antagonist; I have seen posts asking if sunset shimmer, no really, is the worst antagonist for the series thus far. And to be honest she's not that bad. Sure the foe-to-friend time was bull and her villanous transformation is uninspired and generic. But at best its like if we fused Trixie and Twilight together.

Comedy; Yes this is involved. The jokes themselves were okay. The timing was untouched and some really worked. I only saw three references to other shows. Pinkius Prime, Pound puppies, and... gangnam style?! The humor was good as usual.

Setting; like I said this is a fish out of water story. The setting is in high school... in the human world... if we were all related to skittles. It does offer new scenarios for the characters to play off of, and maybe new background characters. But really high school. We've sen evil sisters, eternal chaos, an invasion force, and... whatever lord Sauron's deal was. High school doesn't really seem all that up to par. But I liked some things like how some of the old settings were redesigned.

The love interest; let's face it you knew I was going to get to this sooner or later. And to be fair, I don't hate Flash Sentry. He just seems like a generic disney love interest that hasbro seemed to want to push on us. So we might as well make friends with this guy because hasbro invited him to our party, and if we don't we're not getting any cake. Give him some time and he might grow on you.

Final verdict; With an obvious ploy by hasbro hastily put together like it was crunch time at the circle factory, and a bland but somewhat likable villan with a poorly thought out plan. I give EqG a B. It was good, not great and it could have been a lot worse.
