Hey peeps!

Well, hey peeps! I'm Idgo, the top-hat wearing musical derp who likes Doctor Who, Adventure Time, LittleBigPlanet, and obviously, My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. Though Idgo isn't my real name, I still prefer to be called that when on the Interwebs. Sort of an alias that makes it even more fun. I've been on forums before (LittleBigNetwork & Doctor Who Online) so I'm not completely useless with networking. One of the few things I'm not hopeless at! Anyway, in my spare time I play instruments like guitar, piano & sax, I daydream, I draw my daydreams, I write stories about the drawings of my daydreams, I compose music on LittleBigPlanet 2, pondering philosophy, and generally defeating evil. Also I like biscuits.

 

Now, that's me out the way...I'll tell you about how I became part of the fandome!

 

I first came across MLP when I was tiresomely surfing the net one sunny March afternoon, and stumbling upon TheLivingTombstone's remix of "Pony Rock Anthem". Before I watched it I knew of MLP FiM, and I knew the fandome was huge, but I never expected it to be...well, brilliant. Just between you and me, I thought the bronies were odd for watching MLP, but then I got round to watching it for myself to see what all the hubbub was about...and boy, was I wrong. I wasn't expecting what I saw at all, and eventually after a week and a bit I had watched all 3 seasons and found myself dying for the 4th season. Luckily, I had all the fan-made stuff to amuse myself! I kept it a bit of a secret at first, because I was bothered enough at school without having to have to admit to watching a programme that was so falsely stereotyped, but after a couple of months I was like "Floop the haters" and surprisingly, most peeps just rolled with it. Even several of my friends were keen on the fan-made stuff, but didn't want to say anything for the same reasons as me! Crazy, huh? Anyway, so I've been part of the "herd" for about 4/5 months now, and having this show has helped me get through tough times like exam stress and boring Summer days.

 

Now then. I guess that's it...oh, whoops, I forgot: my favourite pony is Derpy. :3

 

Okay, now I'm done! I look forward to making new friends and having fun here!

Hello! I've seen some of those shows, but don't know many of them very well (Except for MLP FIM, of course). That's an interesting trip into bronydom! Good choice in favorite pony. If you ever need any help with the forums, please feel free to ask me! I'm always available to chat!

I too love Doctor Who, who is your favorite Doctor? Mine is a tie between David Tennant and Matt Smith.

I too watched MLP FIM because I was simply bored. hehe.

I wouldn't have ever thought of being a fan of the show but look at me now lol

In my opinion my favorite ones are SCS, and Lovoaster (I don't have a link for him/her because I only met him/her through email because I had a problem with my account).

Welcome to the forums, Idgo.  Pony Rock Anthem is a good song, as is the remix.    And thanks for saying how you became a fan yourself.  A lot of new members fail to tell that in their introductory posts.  I personally never thought Bronies were crazy but at first I thought they were probably reading into things too much.  But now I'm prone to overanalyzing things myself, heh.

Thanks everyone (or should I say everypony?). It feels great to be welcomed into such a large community! Also I'm lovin' the blank flank. My favourite Doctor is David Tennant by the way, and my favourite companion would definitely be Donna Noble.
