hellocat 308 August 13, 2013 Share August 13, 2013 (edited) Yup. Lots. Krita and MyPaint are awesome free painting tools.... Really, don't just dis them cause they're "not Photoshop" or because "they're free". They are pretty different in feel and I like both of them. EDIT: Gimp's also a very good photo editor/image manipulator, though not that great for painting IMO. I know people are gonna say Paint Tool Sai and Photoshop, which are both great tools, but I'm not going to recommend them unless you want to dish out the money for them cause pirating them hurts them as well as the free alternatives I mentioned. hellocat 308 August 13, 2013 Share August 13, 2013 Ohhh, also, if you're under Windows, Paint.NET is a pretty good option. http://www.getpaint.net/download.html <- that's the site, and though it looks kind of sketchy, I can tell you it's fine. It's a lot easier to master than some of the others, but still can do a lot. 1 PM me when you're bored!! I always love meeting new ponies
XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX 777 August 13, 2013 Share August 13, 2013 (edited) My gut's telling me that you're planning on drawing with the mouse, with this in mind I'd suggest giving Inkscape a try. Inkscape is an opensource vector program which is reminiscent of Adobe Illustrator and several other programs. I myself have toyed with it and it's quite powerful considering. I myself use OpenCanvas and while it costs dosh to use the newest version you can download Ver1.1 for free. The biggest strengths of OpenCanvas is that it has similar properties of SAI while having a fully built in replay option to share how you drew your doodles. Whatever you choose to use I wish you the best of luck on your endeavors Edited August 13, 2013 by Accellerant 2 ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ஜ۩۞۩ஜ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ If you do not GO after what you want, you'll never have it.
