akalink 163 August 21, 2013 Share August 21, 2013 (edited) I guess I'm having too much fun with cellofan vst. The problem is that I don't have a good piano vst. I use reaper which is a really good DAW in its own right. I plan to buy EastWest gold or better in the future, it has a piano sound on it. I also plan on working on the actual music more, not just on the production side of things. So what do you guys have to say about this black sheep jazz tune. https://pony.fm/tracks/1254-octatonic-octavia-wip Edited August 21, 2013 by akalink
Katskratch 59 August 21, 2013 Share August 21, 2013 Not in a place to judge the production, though here's what I think (though you're right, the piano vst could stand to be improved because it sounds really blah right now). It's a nice piece! At times the cello and the piano don't really jazz well together (even considering that i think you're going for a discordant timbre) so I'd look into changing the progression just a bit?
