  1. At first I loved Twilight and Rarity because they both appealed to me for their sensibilities in academics and aesthetics respectively, along with their tendency to have the most sarcastic lines out of the Mane Six. What can I say, I love girls with spunk. Over time it's shifted to Pinkie Pie and Rainbow Dash just because I appreciate their more lax attitudes since I realize that attitude is the biggest piece of the overall me. Not that I still don't appreciate my unicorn girls I just don't think they're as close to my true self as I used to.
  2. Ha, seen this before on Tumblr. It's pretty much a troll, but still. I don't personally know how qualified this guy is based on what he's shown but I wouldn't count him out just because of the format. If anything I'd remember it more because of that. It would be down to qualification and references, of course.
  3. Possibly at the highest echelons of Equestrian leadership, like the Princess and anypony close to her and privy to her secrets. After all, she was aware of the mirror that led to Canterlot High, and probably used it to banish Sunset Shimmer in the first place. So she'll have some idea of the existence of other dimensions and the possibility that alien creatures could come into her world through them.
  4. I think in terms of overall 'style' I'm most like a pegasus, and I might be some sort of distant relation like a cousin to either Fluttershy or Rainbow Dash. Like so far that they don't even know I'm related to them.
  5. Well is it crying along with some completely inexplicable surge of emotion? Or crying without feeling anything? If it's the latter it's probably allergy, because I randomly cry all the time when I eat food I'm not supposed to and trigger one of my allergies. If it's the former I have no clue, I've never randomly cried out of unexplained sadness before. Sounds like a bout of depression though.
  6. I'd like to see something along those lines, as I said in another thread, a well done romance subplot is only a good thing for the target demographic, it's a healthy introduction to the topic. I can imagine a few dorky moments of awkward courting one another if they decide to make it so, and eventually a 'lets just be friends' decision or the like. Definitely an option going forward into S4. But I'm pretty sure they said Flash was a one off character in an interview.
  7. She's probably your ordinary good hearted, loves hanging out with friends, normally pretty nice mare. A little easy going and laid back, possibly because there isn't as big a market for her choice of instrument as there might be in a bigger city like Canterlot or Manehattan so she doesn't work too often. I sort of picture her as a student fresh out of school, chilling with buddies from her hometown while working out her job prospects.
  8. I honestly don't think it would be that hard for some of the show's better writers to start developing hints of romance, and at the target demographic's age, in this day and age where children grow up faster anyways, romance isn't going to be so out of the blue as to not be something that can be demonstrated in a healthy way for their future, if anything I'd applaud a well done romantic sub plot in one of the future seasons because love is no less important than friendship in this world and people could use some reminders with both. I doubt it will happen, but I wouldn't be opposed to it if well executed.
  9. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wb5VOQexMBU I know what it is like to be in love, my friend. I've had hundreds of completely random crushes that never even came close to panning out, so I'm pretty sure I know what I'm talking about. Your plan is excellent, and nobody will even question WTF you're doing, I'm sure. So sorry if you're actually being serious but this just seems so troll.
  10. If anyone has the money and the balls to do it then I recommend getting it waxed professionally (most home wax kits are too weak for guy body hair, I know by experience) instead of shaving every few days or whatever. Lasts longer so it's more time efficient.
  11. I'll only do it if I want to crossdress, really, but I'm really not enthused with too much body hair in general so I may start doing it more often just because I think body hair is gross above a certain threshold, guy or girl.
  12. I'm a good amount of Pinkie Pie, easy going, very concerned for the well being of others in my own twisted way, loves things to always be fun. Then another good part is Twilight, sharp wit and tongue, not always good at expressing self without being awkward about it, and generally strong curiosity. Finally I've got aspects of Rarity in being a artistic quasi neurotic rituals for production, being very sensitive to other's perceptions of me, and having a flamboyant streak.
  13. The way I see it, she's not going to be up and ruling empires and all that jazz when she's still just a filly not yet fully grown. I figure she was probably educated personally by Tia in the Princessly ways and such, but had a fair amount of off time to do whatever she wanted with. So she decided to foalsit and what not because hey why not. Alternatively, considering that Twilight doesn't have her cutie mark in the SUNSHINE SUNSHINE sequence this was before Canterlot Magic Academy when Twilight became Celestia's pupil, so that link isn't there. That implies that Cadence foalsitting for Twilight was a happy coincidence, so Cadence was probably just being your average teenager (as a pony) and working odd jobs for spending money. Implying that Tia withheld a stipend for the Princess to be. Probably to teach character, or for the lulz.
  14. Oh my, Pinkie! Erm, well, alright then. I'd be pleasantly surprised, not ecstatic or anything, since in this world ponies and humans aren't strangers. I'm not a movie man, I'd actually want to hang out in a cafe, bring her something homemade (sweet pastry of some sort, for obvious reasons) so we can chat over that, then based on what I learned take her somewhere else after to have a little fun. Probably a club, given the personality involved. Finally, I'd be happy as long as she had a good time and if she wanted to go on another date, cool, otherwise just being friends would be nice. Don't pin your hopes on a single date, after all!
  15. inb4 someone's heart As for me I actually don't seem to have broken anything major in living memory this summer. I guess it's because I've been going out less without school, since most of my stuff normally breaks when I bring it outside too much. Overexposure, I guess.
  16. Because of an old saying, 'to each their own'. Some people just like being actiony and edgy and riding forth with the horses (lol ponies) of war etc. In short, because they want to. It's that simple.
  17. Damn, I can only imagine PInkie Pie's hair would make me look weird as crap. But once I got used to the hair it would be nice to have hair that inherently shapes itself for me and is difficult to force out of that shape.
  18. The way you phrased it you implied that we're essentially raising them as if we're they're parents? If that's the case I'd probably raise Pinkie with the knowledge that she inherently will want to be fun with others and make them happy, so my parenting would be fairly lax. I'd just educate her on the importance of context so she's no quite as crazy as she is in show. And a parent's job is thankless, by nature. The bond is reward enough for me.
  19. Wouldn't that just make them look like regular horsies then? I think there are images of MLPified ponies from the real world floating around anyways.
  20. In this world where gender barriers are slowly being reduced I don't think anything is officially 'girly'. But if we're going with stereotypes I like cute things like animals and icons and the like, and I like female fashion, both makeup and clothing.
  21. I maintain a laundry list of OCs, though most of them are inactive and most don't even have appropriate visuals, I remember all of them because I put a lot of design into their personalities so they all have reasons to stand out.
  22. Holy crap I have to put effort it but it's so worth. Gonna make a harem game out of my fictional crushes, leggo! 1. Primary Character would be Vriska Serket from Homestuck Potential periphery characters include Jade Harley and Meenah Peixes 2. Possible Crazy Fun Girl would be Pinkie Pie from My Little Pony Potential periphery characters include Twilight Sparkle and Rarity 3. Possible Girly Girl would be Dawn from Pokemon Potential periphery characters include May and Gardevior (Humanized) 4. Possible Serious Business Girl is Princess Leia from Star Wars Potential periphery characters include Bastilla Shan and Alaya Secura 5. Possible Motherly Girl would be Asuna Yuuki from Sword Art Online Possible periphery characters include Sillica-Chan and Alicia Rue To be honest I have way more girls that could be pulled into my dream harem but this is a good core. And then the expansion packs follow...
  23. Ha. To be honest that just sweetens the deal. I'm bigendered but to be honest I often identify more with my female mentality a lot of the time. So mare me here I come.
  24. Yes please, that would be totally awesome thank you very much. I'd tell pretty much everyone I knew that it's going to be a far more epic party, hell, even people I didn't know. And I'd try to see if I could work with her. Just a bit. Possibly.
  25. Yep, it boils down to the fact that, writing, as a medium of art, has the least amount of 'capital' investment required. All you need is a word processor and most denizens of the internet will have some kind on their computer. So that means a lot of people who aren't necessarily skilled writers have the ability to publish. So fanfiction as a medium will look worse for it, since, by and large, more 'bad' stuff will exist for it than the other mediums, where start up costs to get into them are higher. I wouldn't worry too much about it, though. If you are good, you will get an appreciative audience. And the fans always mean much more than the critics.
