  1. I designed my OC to be really cute and stand-out, so I'd actually be anticipating responses from the rest of the community. Like if she became the new Button's mom...
  2. Very interesting concept, I'll join if it's not too fast and there's some quality posting. Can we be canon ponies or humans (lol playing as Obama)?
  3. First wish will be used to give me the intellect to perfectly frame my next two wishes so that they don't backfire horribly. I'd probably spend a while planning the wording of the first wish so that it gets me that without backfiring, itself. Second wish would be to make everything that is possible exist. MLP, Touhou, One Piece (ew), the universe where you (yes, you) were born a girl, every universe and every possibility is accounted for. Third wish would be to become a conditionally immortal (so I can kill myself when I'm done) multidimensonal traveller with sufficient power to defend herself and blend into whatever universe she visited. Yes, I'd change my gender with the third as well. And then I'd roam the multiverse and experience everything I possibly could. Selfish wishes, I know. But hey, this is just one universe. I wanna experience them all.
  4. Guys he said you're only capable of communicating with Fluttershy. Stick to the prompt people. I'd hunt her straight away and kill her explain the situation to her. She'll probably be happy to keep me around as another Angel. Possibly even more, since I'd be larger and thus capable of doing more. I could be, like, her bodyguard or something.
  5. I'm going to say that as long as she's happy there's really nothing you need to do about it. It's her life's journey, who knows how she'll look back on this phase in five years? Let her enjoy the now.
  6. I'd be incredibly cautious with using them at first, considering I wouldn't know how and I wouldn't be sure if they were permanent. Would probably take me a day or two to work them out since I'm a fast learner and I'd pretty much be enthralled with them when I got them. After about a week I'd start abusing them in earnest. From there I'd probably just live my ordinary life with the added bonus of flight, use the wings to get notoriety and convert it into public interest for my works, etc. It'd pretty much be my motif from then on. Hopefully they look good.
  7. YKYAB when you listen to any random song that's not related to the show or fandom and it leads you to think, oh, this would be great as a PMV or for a fan animation...
  8. Well we rarely see the Princesses anyways, and I think the thing about them is that they're generally just wiser and more representative of the majority of their elements than those who aren't alicorns. The fact that they can lead their own nations implies that they have a lot of the attributes our smaller ponies individually represent. And Twilight became an alicorn because she achieved that status as well, being the center of her group of friends.
  9. She's related to royalty (somehow) and she was clearly a very compassionate and caring mare when she was young. She probably had a great many ponies looking up to her even when she was really little, so she ascended off that. At least, that's what I'd guess.
  10. I think any concept, even those that aren't explicitly elements of harmony, could possibly be developed to the point where you become an alicorn. It may even be less specific than that. After all, Celestia and Luna both represented multiple elements, so it's possibly just a transformation that occurs when you become especially potent as an individual.
  11. It was an instinctive thing, and saving a life is something that any decent person should at least be able to attempt, if not do, when the time comes. I think an alicorn is the paragon of their chosen element, in that they understand their element so completely they could give anyone else lessons on how it works, and they always strive to be the authority of that element, sort of like it's real life representative.
  12. And the word earth doesn't have to refer to the proper Earth as a planet, it can very simply mean ground. As in, 'ground to Pinkie', which keeps the whole 'her head is up in the clouds' reference rational. Not the cleanest explanation, but I think it's sufficient. It's a little girl's cartoon, at the end of the day.
  13. Ha, I saw this on the MLR forums as well. It's super cool, definitely something I'll try with my compositions even if they're electronica!
  14. CONGRATULATIONS Seriously though, my friends of both gender either ridicule me for being a brony or don't le clop. So there would be merciless teasing. Afterwards. I'd leave, give them their privacy.
  15. I'm the kind of guy who's a total bro IRL, the sort who keeps an open mind and gets along with most, and I usually adapt myself pretty well to get along with an individual. So I think I could very well casually date any of them. So I think the question for me is, how would dating them go for me? As in, what I'd probably feel about dating each of them. Twilight - She'd be cute to date, what with all her awkwardisms, though I'd probably get annoyed by her neuroses at times. She's a quick learner and adaptable when not under pressure though, so I think she'd be somepony I can date for the long run. Rainbow Dash - I'd be the one she'd chill with when she's being lazy. If anything, we might be a bit too lazy if taken together as a couple. AJ - Level headed, which counts for a lot, so I think we'd get along very well. She'd probably be the easiest to date, just because she has no particularly major isms about her except a pride streak which would really only show itself in certain scenarios. Rarity - Man I'd have to put a lot of work into this, but I'd definitely get a lot out of it as well, since Rarity can definitely give as much as she'd take. Also as the most overtly artistic of the six, that'd be a lot of fun. Shared artistic sense. Fluttershy - I'd have to be the assertive one most of the time, but I'd be able to have a good time with her. Pinkie Pie - This would take a ton of energy, but because Pinkie's such a bro as well I think she'd be super easy and fun to get along with. TL;DR : I'm probably way too confident in my ability to get along with girls.
  16. My singular most important piece of advice. Pay attention to your surroundings. Make sure you're not missing anything in other people's posts, as all of it could possibly be material for your character to work with. And keep an open mind. Sometimes I notice RPers who have the tendency to 'lock into' a certain aspect of their character or a certain scene and not expand much beyond playing those things out. Characters are dynamic, and so is the environment. Keeping things organic and changing in a sensible manner makes the RP funner for all.
  17. I don't feel the show did a lot for me in terms of mental or emotional state, no. But I credit it for something pretty major, which is helping me find my calling in life. The fan musicians that gravitated into the MLP scene were so amazing they made me realize that's what I wanted to do with my life. So yeah, this show ultimately did make me a different person.
  18. Ah, that explains why the article itself seems so bad. It's kind of disappointing, actually. We can't even get a good satire for our fandom.
  19. Pinkie Pie would win, I feel, because she's protected by her nature to make a perpetual joke and farce out of a lot that involves her. It would literally be in her hands, the outcome. If she treated a fight with dark herself lightly, she couldn't possibly lose, and she'd find some funny way to disable Pinkamena and probably calm her down. But if she's affected by it, if she gives in to the horror and weight of the situation, she'll lose. Pinkie Pie isn't built to be serious.
  20. I personally enjoy Cracked, some of their writers are amazingly funny. To be honest, it's no big deal for me personally. Everything in this world has things it can be made fun of for.
  21. Interesting question, I guess. I'd actually change genders and become the mare if I had to sire a pony family. Always felt that I should have the chance to bear the burden of being the mother, because it's almost always the case that more is expected of them when kids are involved. I love kids, so it's only natural.
  22. I've played a single game of this with some friends. It was really fun, and the system by which the numbers in the game are determined are really good for making adventures that are (quasi) show faithful, putting the focus of the game on inter-character interaction to solve problems. The one session I played everyone was playing essential sociopaths, so predictably things were tough and multiple characters nearly 'died'. But if you can get a group together I totally recommend it.
  23. I act fairly feminine so initially I can come off as a girl on the internet. IRL it's apparently easy to mistake me for a girl from behind because I have a feminine body and long hair, and I've been called Miss more times than I care to admit until I start talking. Finally, I guess you're a guy?
  24. I'm thin and small for a guy, so it would be easy to wrap one's arms around me, but because I'm thin I don't exactly have a lot in terms of insulation, as it were, to pad out the hug. So I imagine it would be fairly average. Only nice if the hugger wanted it to be.
  25. The musical numbers in Mystery Magical Cure. There were so many that my suspension of disbelief broke and I was like WTF TOO MUCH CHOREOGRAPHY. But to be serious, nothing in this show has ever annoyed me. I take the show for what it is since it's so simple, a reason I think it's so enjoyable for me.
