*Malik, having run out of enemies on his end, rushed over to assist Truffletop.*

"There are only a few left, hang in there!"

*Malik said to her, stabbing at an enemy that was rushing up behind her. He slashed across the tribal's chest and stabbed at it again, killing it.*

"Only two more, we are just about done."

Prepared to take down the two enemies in front of her, Truffletop prepared herself.  After a moment, she noticed something odd at the side of her screen.  After a moment, a third tribal snuck behind the two of them.  As it approached Malik, she bashed it back and dashed around it, slicing it as she went.  Her attack took out the enemy, her position leading into a quick conflict with one of the last two.  She shouted as the fight continued.  "The other one is heading your way, Malik!"

"Got it!"

*Malik replied to her. He ran up to the one headed for him and stabbed into its stomach. It slashed back at his face, but he ducked back, pulling the tribal over him and slamming it back on its head, then flipping over top of the dissolving monster and back to his feet.*

"I guess Riza was right about taking that acrobatics class."

*Malik joked. He turned to Truffletop.*

"You good over there?"

"Got it!"

*Malik replied to her. He ran up to the one headed for him and stabbed into its stomach. It slashed back at his face, but he ducked back, pulling the tribal over him and slamming it back on its head, then flipping over top of the dissolving monster and back to his feet.*

"I guess Riza was right about taking that acrobatics class."

*Malik joked. He turned to Truffletop.*

"You good over there?"

She nodded in response to his question.  "Yeah, I'm fine.  I took a bit of damage, but its something that one of my healing potions should be able to fix."  She uncorked a potion and took a swig.  Her health bar promptly filled up.  "Much better, don't want the threat of death lingering over my head."  She started walking forward for a bit.  "So I expect us to spy some treasure soon.  We've gotten pretty deep."

She nodded in response to his question.  "Yeah, I'm fine.  I took a bit of damage, but its something that one of my healing potions should be able to fix."  She uncorked a potion and took a swig.  Her health bar promptly filled up.  "Much better, don't want the threat of death lingering over my head."  She started walking forward for a bit.  "So I expect us to spy some treasure soon.  We've gotten pretty deep."

"Yup, but first, we should check our loot from that fight. Tribals can drop some fairly valuable items."

*Malik opened his inventory and began scrolling though the items.*

"Couple of spears, a stone dagger......... is that..."

*Malik got a disgusted look on his face.*

"A dirty loincloth? ..............Yeeeeeeeaaaaaaahhhhh, select, delete item, aaaaaaand yes. I want to delete the dirty loincloth."

*Malik looked at Truffletop looking a little scared. He then looked back down at his inventory and looked confused.*

"A mirror? The tribals certainly didn't drop that."

*He brought the mirror out of his inventory and looked at it. Suddenly his appearance changed. His coat got a bit darker, while his feathers got a bit whiter, and across his eye, a large scar appeared, while the scarred over eye was gone. Malik saw himself in the mirror. He looked very shocked.*

"Damn! Kayaba Akihiko must have put this in our inventories to change us back to our real world appearances! Check to see if you have one."

"Yeah! Let's do it!" Casey said. She was prepared to fight with her sword out.

 

"It won't really change anything." the shopkeeper said. Burning looked around some more and found potions. "Ooo Cool!" she said. Some of them were healing potions. She got some. "This will keep our health up!" Burning said.

Lighting tried to push his fear of death away as he drew his sword and flew toword the monsters head slashing it as he flew past it "how much hp does this thing have?" Lighting ask as his fear of death started coming back in his head clouding his thoughts. He fought while tring to push them away

"200!" Casey said as she slashed the boss with her sword. She kept slashing it. "I wonder if we'll even defeat this monster.." Casey said. She stabbed the boss some more. She dodged one of his attacks. "When will this guy go down?!" Casey said. She got hit a little. She hit as hard as she could.

"Captain are you OK?" Lighting said to Casey as he stabbed the monster in the head a second time flew up dived bombed on top the monster stabbing it in the head again.  He flew near Casey and stood in a defensive stance.  "I don't want to see anypony die again as long as I can help it."

"I'm ok. I just got hit a little." Casey said. A little of her health bar was gone. She hit the monster in the head. "Just 100 more HP to go!" Casey said. She hit it more. "I'm gonna get that XP!" Casey thought swiging her sword. She stabbed the monster a few more times. "Take that!" she yelled.

"That just made everything a whole lot easier..." Blazing said to himself. "Unfortunately... I still can't get any armor yet..." He added. "So should we just go fight so I can get enough to buy some better armor?" He asked. I can get money from killing enemies right? He wondered.

"Ok then."Lighting said as he flew around to the monsters back jumped up and slashed him down the middle and cut one of its limbs off weakening the monster.  "Didn't think its limb would fall off.  Oh well."  He slashed the monster's face once more but was slapped away by the monster right after.

"Slant" Equinox said slashing the monster then staggered then got hit by the monster bringing his health to 5. "D-dang...one more hit and im dead" Equinox said as he jumped back and remembered he didn't get his healing stones. "How could I forget to turn that quest in" Equinox said as he stared at the monster. "One more attack..." Equinox said as he charged at the monster. "Vertical" Equinox slashed at the monster in a v pattern again. "Slant" Equinox then added another attack then jumped back as the monster was down to 10 hp.

"i'll finish this." Lighting Said slashing a leg of the monster destroying it remaining HP.  "You ok Equinox?  You health bar is in the red." Light used a health pack on Equinox refilling his health "This is why I didn't want to rush though this you nearly got killed."

"I just got cocky alroight it was close to health and i thought i could finish it of" Equinox said as he got up. "Besides it was my mistake for not getting the healing stones so I can heal also you bot should have leveled up by now" Equinox said as he looked at Casey

"Wasn't it you who told me not to be cocky earlier you should stop fighting and retreat if your health goes yellow.  I don't want to see anypony here die, or anywhere really."  Lighting turned to look at the field remembering how he lost he best friend in the real world in an accident.  Blaming himself for not being able to save him.  "I won't lose another friend like that."

"Listen I will be fine this only happened this one time I know you dont want anyone to die but it might come to the time where you just sacrifice yourself to save another" Equinox said as he saw the monster dropped something. "Besides...not like I got anything to live for really" Equinox said with a smile but on the inside he's sad

"Don't you say that everypony has a reason to live even you can't see it others might. It sounds like you're giving up when you say that just hold on to a dream to keep on going I want to live through this to see my family later I'm sure there worried sick about me. Like yours is to you I'm sure." Lighting said to trying to motivate Equinox

"Sure" Burning said. She wanted to use Mizu. She carried mizu on her back. "Let's go!" Burning said as she flew out with Mizu. She was prepared to fight some more monsters.

 

"Yay I got XP!" Casey said happily. She noticed Equinox and Lighting talking. "That's true." Casey said agreeing with Lighting's statement. She was leveled up to level 9.

Blazing followed Burning, not wanting to fall behind. I just need to kill a few more monsters and then I'll have enough to buy armor... He thought. Once they got to where the most of the monsters were, he took the opportunity to kill the first one he saw. Unfortunately he still didn't have enough for armor, not yet.

*Rynn wandered around town, she was unsure of what to do next. She had just finished the last quest in the starting town and after grinding in the first dungeon all night, she had gotten herself to level 17 already. She sat down on the side of the road out of the way of other players and leaned her scythe against the wall next to her. She opened up her map and looked for the path to the next dungeon.*

"That guy mentioned that the second dungeon wasn't far from the first, but I didn't see it when I was over there. I wonder if they moved it."

*She said to herself aloud. She marked a couple of spots on the map that she thought the entrance might be and then closed the interface, picked up her scythe, quickly strapping it to her back, and finally headed out of town. She looked up and spotted the main tower in the distance and used it to referance where she was relative to the spots she had marked.*

"I hope I manage to find that guy. He was really helpful."

*She thought back to several weeks ago, when she had met another gryphon at a gaming convention. He had been in the SAO beta, and she had forced him to tell her everything he knew about the game. Rynn had tried to get into the beta, but she had been too late to apply, which was not like her when it came to gaming.*

Burning killed some more monsters. She got some money. "Yay!" she said excitedly. She decided to kill more monsters. She stabbed some. "I can't wait to get XP!" she thought. Burning was almost to level 5. "We should be careful when fighting." Burning  said gesturing toward her health bar. It was going down a little.

Yeah well if I said who waiting for me to get out of here you wouldn't believe me at all" Equinox said as he smiled at Casey and Lighting. "Now come on lets get to the dungeon I got to lvl 10 just now for that monster" Equinox said as he held his blades with his magic.

"Don't worry, we'll be fine." Blazing said, killing a few more monsters. "Hey sweet! I have enough for new armor!" He exclaimed. "Let's head back, just so I can get some armor." He said, then started heading towards the town. Normally I wouldn't care about this stuff... But I will do anything to keep myself alive. He thought.

"Well at least your not going emo on us."  Lighting said as he patted Equinox on the back.  Lighting was getting more confident in his ability to help out, but knew to if things get dangerous, to get out quickly.  "So how far away is the dungeon from here?" Lighting asked

"How about I go emo on you right now" Equinox said as he joked. "It's not going to happen to me unless I find out she died in this game then I will go emo but that wont happen...I hope" Equinox said as he looked to the sky. "Now come one lets go" Equinox said with a smile
