Room To Roam - Trotland RP

It was quite a brisk day in early January, even for Trotland. Snow covered the ground and ice hung from the foliage...
 
Aura was out and about in the town square which was quite unusual for her. She browsed slowly around Cruickshanks, a small department store and had her gaze fixated on a crystal ornament resembling two ponies on their hind legs, back to back. A bright light shone down onto the display with numerous ornaments in them but it hit this particular one in such a manner that cause it to shimmer.

 

"Hey, I've seen something I want in this display. Could you get it out for me?" Aura asked the assistant who seemed dumbfounded due to her having only a slight trottish accent which was odd for these parts.

 

"Ah shure can, lassy." A black haired mare said as she trotted out from behind the counter. Aura went to follow her and without realising bumped into a certain brown stallion, pushing him forward into a display of silver photo frames.

 

"Oh gosh! I'm sorry!" Aura levitated the fallen frames back to their original positions and quickly left to go and purchase her items

Bass was rather surprised at the whole encounter. In fact, he wasn't quite sure why he was looking at picture frames anyway. The stress of the previous night must have really gotten to him, for him to be there, doing that. Either way, it happened, and there was no changing it. He tried to respond to the mare, but she walked off before he could.

 

The tan unicorn watched her graceful steps as she hurried off to purchase her items.

 

"Wow, she certainly was... something..." The awestruck pony thought to himself. He hadn't seen a mare that stunning in all his time touring Equestria, and now that he had, he completely failed to say anything to her.

 

"Good going, Bass." He thought as he turned to exit the store.

Bass was rather surprised at the whole encounter. In fact, he wasn't quite sure why he was looking at picture frames anyway. Aura walked out the store and a cold winter exhale brushed across her fur and made them stand on end. She had the crystal ornament between her teeth, levitating her change and trying to flick open her saddlebag with her free hoof. Whilst she was fussing with all of this, the ornament was slowly slipping out from her bite and a nearby stallion noticed.

 

Suddenly, the ornament dropped and Aura shrieked loudly as this was a gift for her brother and it was quite expensive. Aura tried to dive for it and catch it as she was still levitating her loose money in the air but somepony else caught it for her before she even got near.

 

Aura hit the pavement with a loud thud and the light surrounding her horn instantly faded and her money spilled on to the floor.

The tan unicorn magically held the ornament in the air in front of him as he walked to go help them white unicorn up off the ground. With a slight grin, he asked, "It's a bit cold to be laying on the ground hm?" Then without waiting for a response, he added, "Heh, You alright? Here.. here's your ornament thingie..."

 

Once the white mare was helped back to her hooves, he waited for her to answer and retrieve her decorative crystal piece.

"Uh yeah, no I'm just visiting here for a while to get away from the-" The stallion paused for a moment, questioning whether he should tell her who he really is. For all he knows, she could just end up spreading the word and letting the entire country know he's there. Then so much for his break from the fanfare. "Ah buck it."

 

"I'm just visiting. Um, Are you alright?" he queried, looking around he at her back leg, which seemed to be in pain.

"I'm okay, it's just a graze. How come you're visiting here anyway? There's not much to do in this village to be honest." Aura did not let up with the questions but still seemed to have her gaze fixated on the tan pony.

"Oh my names... Aura!" She hollered back sounding quite enthusiastic. "Have you seen much so far? I suppose I could give you a tour round the village if you would like?" Aura was intrigued by this strange stallion, something about him seemed so familiar yet so strange.

Bass hesitated a bit, "A tour? Don't you need to get your ornament home? You don-" He realized he was about to ramble, which was odd for him, being the super smooth DJ that he was, and stopped himself. "If it's not a problem, I'd love a tour of your nice town!" He finally choked out quite happily.
