It just occurred to me that he can't even introduce himself to anypony without lying, because "Hi, I'm Trickster" would tend to get in the way of pulling a good con.   Nice touch, if that was intentional. I think it would be fun to RP with him, though I might be inclined to dig out my gaming dice and use them for Will and Intelligence rolls as a way to undermine my biases as a player.  An interaction between him and Sunyatay Sutra could be pretty interesting.  Her 'talent' is uncontrolled invisibility and intangibility.  It would would be devastating in Trickster's hooves, if a pony doesn't have to see him in order to have their powers drained.  He'd probably have a pretty hard time getting her to look him in the eye though.  As to whether she'd figure out/sense what he was doing, or be able to look away if she did, that'd be what I'd be inclined to roll for.

 

If you do enter an RP with him, or write any fanfics about him, please let me know.  I'd like to participate, or read.

 

Well I would say he has to make actual eye contact for his magic to work, if he didn't then it would tilt toward the side of being overpowered. I would probably write a short origin fic about him before I RPed him, just to get any questions out of the way because his backstory can be confusing.

I like his backstory as well. And he's definitely not over powering. His design does give a unique appearance about him though.

Glad to hear it, sometimes with controlling type magic it can become too much power for any character.

But because it matched his backstory, and why he was a pony in the first place I hoped people would approve ^^

Seriously though, nice pic!  I can just hear those two arguing.  I'm not sure if the raven talks (a familiar containing the spirit that made Trickster an "alicorn"?), or just gets the point across with caws and gestures like other animals in FiM.  The wing does seem to be emphasizing a point made though.  And judging by Trickster's expression and body language, it may have struck a nerve...

Haha, the Raven is more of a 'spirit animal' but it just caws though he can understand it? XD

I haven't worked out the finer details but something along the lines of the two being connected.
