I'd put more seem lines on it just so it looks like something she made and not a curtain used as a cape. Not that fond of the pattern itself but the idea is pretty good.

Thank you so much for the feedback! I wish I had my own fabric at home to use as a pattern but since I don't I have to scavenge deviantArt for something that just may be useable. But yeah, thank you!

 just another thought, you might want to make her legs a little bit thicker, i imagine you want her to look elegent and graceful but they are a little thin. ^^

As much as I agree with you, I just couldn't help but think of your signature pony's legs on rarity XD That would make a good survivalist granted

Already starting on a redraw with your feedback in consideration!  I looked up at some costumes and took some inspiration for the new dress, changed the fabric and made the legs thicker. Will post it when it's finished! 

 

Update:

So, this is the redraw. Is it better, worse or the same? I didn't use any fabric texture since I came to the conclusion that this looked better. Feedback is of course still appreciated!

The dress now looks like a dress! pattern, shading, everything. ^^

 

You might want to add some colour to her face, I can see your trying to make her face have a skull painted on it put it looks like her mouth is sewn up/not existant. you should make it so her mouth is visable or open as if she's saying something so we can still see it .

 

I also think you might have drawn Rarity's mane abit to small here. It should always be big and stand out. ^^

Okay! I'm thinking about using warmer colors in her face, but it kinda clashes with her blue/white coat (I'll have to figure that one out).

The mouth is supposed to look sewn up, since that is traditionally how the makeup is done, but I can see what you mean.

I agree the mane isn't poofy enough, but I don't usually draw it like that so it's just a minor mistake on this particular drawing
