Current (as opposed to immediate) thoughts on EQG being Earthbound?

So now that some time has passed, what is the current thoughts on where EQG took place?  Earth or some other universe?

 

I don't think it can be Earth.

 

• Jaundice apparently doesn't exist.  (Fluttershy's yellow skin)
• Unusual names.
• Pinkie Pie's red skin isn't considered embarrassment and no one thinks Twilight isn't suffering severe sunburn.

Those are just a couple.

 

Also, and unrelated, if Twilight, Rainbow, and Fluttershy all got wings after their (Sailor Moon-esq) transformations, why didn't Rarity and Twilight get unicorn horns?
