My favorite pony is between Pinkie Pie and Rarity. Pinkie Pie lightens the mood and is fun and quirky. I like Rarity because she hasn't gotten very much screen time, so her character hasn't been as explored as much as RainbowDash or Twilight and there is more to discover about her. Also, I've recently been reading how the only things that exist are what you see. (don't remember if that was tao, or Confucous, or whoever.) I also read that the world you comprehend is completely subject to your senses, that react with your brain; meaning that the reality you understand is what your senses tell you, and not necessarily the real resistance. Also, there's this theory that, in the future, they can make perfect models of past society in vertual reality, meaning we could actually just be programs in that virtual reality. She's not one of my top ponies, just because she (In my opinion) dosn't have much character to her as Rarity or Pinkie Pie, but I can see why so many people like her. I don't hate her, but I find her arrogance, lack of empathy, and poor judgement rather annoying after a while. I just find her to be a rather dry character because all of her good and traits being so obvious, that hasn't left us with much to discover about her. In my opinion, the single thing that has kept our interest in her character going for so long, is her ambition to become a "Wonderbolt". But Silver Spoon, we don't really know her character other than how she acts when she is hanging out with Diamond Tiara. I think it would be interesting to see how Silver Spoon is like without Diamond Tiara. But I do agree with you, Diamond Tiara is one of my least favorite characters, along with Snips and Snails. AppleJack is my 2nd favorite pony, tied with Rarity. I like AppleJack for the same reasons! In my opinion, she's a RainbowDash without all the arrogance and lack of empathy. Diamond Tiara is a good villain, so I like her as a bully to the Cutie Mark Crusaders (Because it keeps them interesting), but I don't care much for her otherwise.
