Steampunk end pinkie costume for dragoncon? Good idea or no?

Hey every pony, just wondering if anyone has suggestions or advice. I might go to dragon con this year, and I just want to know if anyone has tried this before. I'm thinking of just spraying my hair instead of getting a wig, since in home sweet Georgia Labor Day is freaking hot. Maybe a pink hoodie with an easy corset, thigh shorts, and those sock garter things, or, well, IDK, whatever pants things my profile pic is wearing. And then lots of steam pinky goodness dispersed throughout.

Ok one Im a huge steampunk fan, now adding it into mlp and making it a cosplay is genius! Do this, it would be really cool.
