Sholem Itzhak 84 March 18, 2014 Share March 18, 2014 Anyone remember watching "Green Acres"? I remember when I saw it on “Nick At Nite’s” Block Party Summer (after it took over the Monkey’s time slot) every Monday night. I found it interesting, and my parents were very happy to share a TV show they enjoyed in their youth with me. You might also remember the Pinky and the Brain Parody: "Brain Acres." Well, what would you think of a Pony version of the Green Acres theme song? Here’s a version I just wrote (Sweet-Apple Acres) that is sung by Applejack and Rarity (and joined by the rest of the Mane 6 at the very end):[Applejack]Sweet-Apple Acres is the place to beFarm living is the life for meFresh apple picking far and wideForget Manehattan, just give me that countryside.[Rarity]But Manehattan’s where I’d rather stayHigh class is where I’m proud and gay [in the old sense meaning happy and/or jolly]I’d rather have the stunning viewsAnd the soothing sounds and the bustling avenues [Applejack] …Fresh Picks[Rarity] …Sweet Gigs[Applejack] …The Jobs[Rarity] …The Shops[Applejack] You are my friend,[Rarity] Manehattan, i’ll see you again,[The Mane 6 altogether] Sweet-Apples Acres here we are.
