MLP Merchandise

If any of you have past experience with this I would highly appreciate your input.

 

I really want to wear some MLP merchandise such as some Vinyl Scratch, Doctor Whooves and Fluttershy shirts I own but I am only in 8th grade and while I hardly care what others think about me I am really concerned with a lot of people ridiculing me on what I choose to wear. I am not exactly the most popular person and I really don't want to mess up the entirety of what little reputation I have, so until somepony can tell me if people don't care or when it's an okay time to do so (high school, something like that), I'll just stick to my discreet stuff.

If people poke fun at you or look down at you for what you wear, pay them no mind. In a school environment, a pattern like that has been around for years so you don't need to care about people say or do to you. Be who you choose to be and choose what you want to wear.

I have no actual experience with this and I do think it is a shame that we even have to think in terms of what we wear to save hassle but sadly that is the world we live in. 

 

@Panama has a point about who cares but some ponies are more sensitive than others and being teased is really hard on some.  @Scootalove also has a good point about being who you want to be.

 

But you have started this post to get advice I think on not rocking the boat.  You say you don't care what others think but if you didn't I don't think you would have started this post.

 

You want to wear things but are not up to being ridiculed- is that a correct statement?  If that is the case, then I think you do have to choose wisely.  If you are really concerned I think leaving the Fluttershy shirt at home during school is a good idea-save that one for other occasions!  That might cause me to get some angry replies here but again, we are reaching for a comfort zone.

 

Dr. Whooves is probably pretty harmless and even Vinyl Scratch would probably not be cause for being harassed but hopefully you will get lots of other opinions here and you can decide which suits you best.

Well more so my point is that I don't care what most people think but I don't want to be globally hated by the entire school. I will probably try wearing them and to ignore 'those' people and, like Scootalove said, be who I want to be. Thanks guys
