another story idea

I have a fanfic idea based around filli vanilli where Pinkie is consumed with guilt over beating big mac in the turkey gobbling competition which costs him not only his streak of 7 years but also causes him to lose his voice the day before a big performance with the ponytones. but every time she tries to get big mac to take the medal back, big mac, being the gentle giant he is, is graceful in defeat and refuses always says the same thing: "NNNNOPE! there's always next year, pinkie!" is it out of character? perhaps. is it an attempt at redeeming pinkie's behavior in the episode? yes, a BIG yes. it sounds like a bad idea when I think about it but...does anyone like the idea? should I go ahead or abandon it? feedback? please?

Hmm.  Honestly, I'm not sure if there's really a whole episode there.  It seems like it's kind of over and done with.  Like, I think it would be a little strange for them to revisit the turkey call, which was only a five second scene to begin with.  But I do agree with your idea for Pinkie to redeem her behavior in that episode.  She was kind of a jerk.  But I don't think she needs to apologize to Big M.  She needs to apologize to Flutters.  This was the second episode I ever saw, and at the time, I didn't like Pinkie.  I just figured, ok, she's a jerk, an idiot, and the comic relief, and that's it.  Then I watched through seasons 1 & 2 and now I love her.  She's eccentric but brilliant in her own strange, offbeat way.  She has a memory bordering on savant.  And she is hands down the most loyal and selfless friend of all of them.  She would do anything to make her friends happy.  Filli Vanilli painted her in a bad light.  It was out of character for her.  I hope it's not a trend.
