I'm gonna be making Ichigo, but I'm not sure how to post the picture...

You can either upload it to another site and insert it using the url picture tool, or attach it to the thread from an external file.

No, but with actually taking a picture of it, should I use a scanner?

I use a scanner, then save the picture to my computer with a stupid name  name that I can remember and put it in a folder that I can actually find. Then I go to my photobucket (Or any image uploader, really, but I prefer photobucket) and upload it, right click on the picture, click 'copy image url' and then paste it in between the img code.
