I need help with HDPVR2, record PC monitor

My HDPVR2 works as it should with the 360/PS3. It says you can record the output from your PC video card. Now how am I going to do this? Because I did two things and nothing has worked.

 

Input=PC Monitor via HDMI

Output=Video Card via HDMI

DVI is plugged in for dual display, HDMI cord runs to my TV from the video card

 

or......

 

Input=Video Card via HDMI

Output=PC Monitor via HDMI

Now Arcsoft showbiz is awful, but it works with the PS3. So I don't want to buy some HDMI splitter  :comeatus:

 

I am doing this because I have 3 season of MLP from Amazon Instant video, right onto my hard drive. I can't put them onto my video editing software, it's locked... So I need to record my monitors output with this PVR2.

 

Can someone please help me if they know anything
