Secret Identity: Marshall Thorn

 

Powers: Can shroud himself in a black cloak of shadow that makes him completely dark, except his eyes which turn pure white. While in this form all senses are heightened, gains super strength and endurance, becomes slightly faster, and all damage from weapons are weakened a bit. Can enter through most shadows on the ground, and exit through any other shadow within a certain distance – whether he be Cloaked or not. Can make claws out of the shadows as well. If really angry, can turn into a bigger, superhuman version of himself.

 

Bio: A very quiet man who wound up getting distracted on an errand he was supposed to run for someone. Upon stumbling a weird shop specializing on the occult, he was approached by a sorceress of sorts, who after enchanting him with a spell and recommending him a book, had given him the powers he had. He signed up to join the police force and by 19 was already ranked as one of the best officers, due to being able to stop a hostage situation in the bank (which was the first instance of his powers in action). No one saw him use his powers, but was hailed as a hero. He is now 21 and working to become a detective

 

Backstory: Marshall has had his fair share of disasters. His father beat him to the point where he had to be hospitalized when he was 9, only to have the dad die a year later, and contracting Christophobia at 11. He wound up being a very paranoid man that kept to himself so that people didn’t notice.

 

Apperance:

Without Powers - Black man, 6ft, long dreads to his waist, usually found wearing jeans and a hooded sweater if not in his uniform. His chest is covered with tribal markings imprinted in black ink.

With Powers – Black Sweater, Jeans and shoes. Wears a bandana around his face to prevent being sought out by those. Basically looks like a street thug until in his Shadow Cloaked form,
