Last year I got into something I never thought I would in a million years, a show about cartoon ponies. I am no stranger to cartoons or fandoms but the whole watching it out of curiosity after a friend recommended it not thinking I would be into it has to be the most common story ever for how people get into this show so my story isn't the most original but it is mine. I have been into it for a good couple of weeks maybe a month or so and I search for the word "brony" and wind up here, I have alot of experiences with forums and some of them have left a bad taste in my mouth so it was a 50/50 shot of me joining or even sticking around after I had joined. While there has been some drama and a few jerks, this for the most part has been the most civil forum I have ever been on which considering its size is actually quite the accomplishment.

I have talked about all sorts of subjects on here both pony and non pony related and while they didn't all pan out very well most of them were well worth it. Whether it be me fanboying over Applejack, criticizing twilicorn, making the case for why I believe Derpy isn't offensive or letting out my inner rant mode in the "Libertarian Circle" PM group or the Debate Pit I have had some good discussions on here and I have you the users as well as the staff that runs this site to thank for that. So I look forward to one more year on here talking to the friends I have made on here and maybe making some new ones and more people join this great community.
