My how the mighty had fallen as Corey was once the darling of season 3, now she's probably among the least liked writers on the staff.

I stand firm on my belief that the only redeeming qualities of Sleepless in Ponyville, the episode she receive *so* much *undeserved* praise for was the Luna appearance and the Scootalove bond.

Otherwise, it was a terrible episode and I wrote a whole blog about why here.

Jay Sherman's reaction to Rainbow Falls:

Rainbow Falls was probably my 2nd biggest disappointment in season 4, Spitfire was ridiculously out of character along with other glaring inconsistencies. Bulk Biceps or Macho Pony was one of the cadet in the Wonderbolt Academy episode and yet he is depicted as being a lousy flier in this episode, just how the hell did he make it into the academy in the first place if he is really that bad? Fluttershy is believable but competitions have never been her thing which makes that seem a tad out of character for her and there are plenty of able pegasi that could represent Ponyville besides Rainbow Dash. And the Wonderbolts wanting to recruit Rainbow Dash seems extremely unbelievable to me as she is arguably one of the best fliers so is Soarin who for whatever reason is also depicted as incompetent in this episode and he also the benefit of even more experience as well as discipline behind him than Rainbow Dash does.
