How much is obsessed?

I've been speculating lately, How far does a brony have to go before he is marked obsessed by even his own kind. If you have a dozen things is that obsessive? and if a teenage girl, such as myself watches MLP is it normal as opposed to a guy watching it? I've had these questions ever since I heard about bronies, They make my head hurt :( I think that, at least in america people shouldn't be judged by a TV show they watch, all the hate is just from people with predetermined social standards. such as that all guys have to watch sports and stuff and girls have to watch things like MLP or Strawberry shortcake, I hate stereotypes!

I think it's an obsession when you're every day activities become difficult to preform because of your fandom :)

In my opinion the point of obsession is when it comes in the way of your duties.

Otherwise you are controlling good because you know you've got your priorities sorted then :P

Most of my pony merchandise can fit in a medium U-Haul box. Most of it is still in one because I've yet to find good places for all of my things at this new house. Brought home some more stuff today and have several shirts in the closet. As long as Hasbro and fans keep making high-quality stuff that I find appealing, I'll continue to buy it. I donated a sizable chunk of change to John de Lancie's kickstarter-funded documentary on us. I go to conventions and meetups whenever I can, and even made it to Bronycon this summer.

Is any of the above more obsessive, or less acceptably obsessive than the guy who has a room full of framed Steelers jerseys and autographed posters, a jersey on his back, a football on display, an NFL calendar, bobbleheads of football players, a fantasy football team, and every Madden game ever released despite them being almost identical except for updated rosters? And how about those guys with all of the aforementioned things who also throw parties at their houses for every game or make the expensive trip to the Superbowl? No, I'm no more obsessive than any of them, but what I do is certainly less acceptable.

At least, that's what I've come to understand from many things I've heard on the internet about me wasting my money or insinuations that I don't have a penis.
