Buddy of mine was talking to me today, and it made me think I should go back to school. Looking into technology related classes to become an IT specialist, probably something Administrative (setting up, controlling, and repairing office networks).

Bonus in that field would be that I know how to work with hardware. Doesn't really sound like something uncommon, but we've had 3 companies take over Administrative rights on our network at the office over the last 8 years, and only 1 of them knew anything about hardware. 1 company, and only 1 of their employees. The other 2 companies wanted to outsource the hardware issues to the Best Buy Geek Squad, and I'm not even joking right now.

So, I figure, I can work my way into a company somewhere... Manage their network, repair their servers, or price them new ones... I've got a few hardware connections, I can get server parts pretty cheap... Well, relatively cheap...

Iunno though. I hated going to school back in the day. But I don't want to be stuck where I am, making what I make.

Darn him, how dare he be a good friend, and remind me that I still have vast untapped potential for increasing my income, that will only decay as I become older.
