Banana Twist grew up quickly in Fillydelphia. She was an extremely curious filly, which both got her into trouble and helped her and others interchangeably. As she grew, her love of mysteries and unusual or previously undiscovered information grew, and she traveled throughout Equestria, working many different kinds of jobs and discovering many things (which she keeps in her journal collection). She's lived in Ponyville for only a few months, but is fitting in well and loves the place.
