So apparently this little kid left her food, then she got assaulted. I mean, slapping a 3-6 years old kid? I feel anger now. America is way better than this.

I would not really compare countries based on one case as those things happen everywhere in the world, but yes, it is disgusting ;/

There have been plenty of cases of verbal and physical abuse in American schools.

The fact that this made the national news suggests that this sort of thing happens only very rarely in Korea, and is considered shocking enough to be newsworthy. Which shows that Koreans expect, and generally receive, a much higher standard of child care than this. Which is a good thing.
