Long ago, a steel worker pony made a deal with a slick villain. His name was Rumplestiltskin. The pony traded the troll-like creature a foal with hair of gold to carry his legacy, in exchange for the knowledge of the access tunnels and underground passages below Ponyville. It was all mapped out in his head. Of course the slimey thing agreed...

Rumplestiltskin disappeared with the knowledge for two decades...

Meanwhile in the city of Ponyburgh, an inky-black pony with white spackle on his rear came into the world. White socks accented his tiny hooves and his horn was the purest bone white. His mane was a spill of glittering gold. It was the magical mane owed to his great great grandfather by none other than Rumplestiltskin.

Age 5... Father Leaves..

His father, a candy addicted stallion with a mean streak, abandoned his foal and mate after years of physically abusing them. Following this Steele's mother fell ill. He was snatched from her and bounced from foal sitter to foal sitter and till he finally got too old...

Steele's mother died shortly after he was released from The System. He realized he had to get himself together and immerse himself in something that would be positive and constructive. Bored one afternoon, he designed a game that would test Speed, Coordination, Communication, and Stamina. A game for the Spirit, the Mind, and the Body. Thus Hoofball had been created.

Steele's mark appeared when he established what would now be known as the greatest and most beloved hoofball team ever. The *Steelers insignia is now forever blended into his coat.
