For me it was better than Frozen.

I thought it was enjoyable, but nothing special.

Princess Unikitty was cute, and I liked the Emmett x Wyldstyle shipping. And the Everything is Awesome song is pretty addictive.

I did think that the second layer to the film (with Will Ferrell's character and his kid) was a clever addition though.

I think it's just a shame that the whole message of the film, about being creative and not just following the instructions, seems to be completely lost on the Lego toy makers. Any box of Lego that you buy these days seems completely geared towards building one specific model, with detailed instructions.

Some of those look better than most Lego products, but still if you look at the product details they say:

They can't resist the temptation to throw in a few instructions.
