History:
Armoros was a Canadian Thrash Metal band formed in 1985 in British Colombia by guitarist Jed Simon (Strapping Young Lad, Zimmers Hole, Devin Townsend Project). After 3 demos and a live album, the band recorded what would have been their first album called Pieces in 1988, but the album was never actually released, but it did make it's way through the underground through the tapes market. One year later, in 1989, the band splited-up, to reform in 1992, but for only two years, as they disbanded in 1994, the reason: Jed Simon decided to join Strapping Young Lad, Devin Townsend's first musical project, as a guest for the recording of his first album, Heavy As A Really Heavy Thing. In 2008, a compilation called Piece by Piece - The Anthology, was released all thanks to Jed Simon, to honour his past band. The compilation includes demo, live and studio songs.
Recommended Material:
The band only recorded one studio album, but it sucks that it was never release. Pieces is an excellent album, with such agressivity, the band did a great job to produce great and thrashy songs for this album. Here are highlights from this album:
