Prior to TakeOver: Unstoppable, NXT's Sasha Banks and Becky Lynch have had a fierce rivalry. At the contract signing, they had a brawl that ended in Lynch twisting Banks's arm backwards, making her tap. If any of you are unfamiliar with the NXT Division, it competes with Ring of Honor as the tops of professional wrestling despite being a "developmental league." This is no exception for the women's division, whose athletic "divas" developed into holding matches as great as the men. At least two women matches from NXT last year were Match of the Year candidates.

 

At this point, Sasha Banks vs. Becky Lynch last Wednesday at TakeOver: Unstoppable may be one of 2015's best matches in not just NXT, but the entire WWE.

NXT = the next Ruthless Aggression Era.

The most ironic thing about NXT is how terrible it was when it first started four years ago. It was so awful, no one bothered to watch it. Even though Michael Cole was a heel commentator, how he pointed out the Divas competition as "ridiculous" was an understatement.

 

Now look how much NXT has evolved. It's easily one of the best wrestling events around.

I have seen the whole show. If you want to experience wrestling, from people who want this so badly, you can't go wrong with NXT.

 

I swear to you, the Bella Twins saw this and pissed themselves. Because once these are in, they're out. The womens division in the main roster is horrible and i skip them everytime i watch Raw.

 

Also, Slick Ric can be very proud of his daughter Charlotte. She is the best women in NXT right now.

I kinda worry about them being promoted to the main roster. NXT is being controlled by Triple H, and he made it clear that he wants to see the future of wrestling through NXT. Vince McMahon, on the other hand, doesn't understand women's booking. Even in the PG Era, the women are merely eye candy, and they're given literally no time to play into their characters, develop skills, and deliver classic matches.

 

NXT doesn't advertise these women as wrestlers in disguise, but women who want to legitimately kick their opponent's ass, and they back it up. When you have the tiny arena chant, "THIS IS WRESTLING!" in a women's match, then something is really wrong in the "Diva's Division" in the majors.

Just those 20 minutes of promo-less body language told a better story than most Raw and SmackDown matches these days.
