The Discolored Wall-Castlevania Bloodlines
The only thing I am aware of is that the Sega Genesis came out before I was born. I still had a great time with this system growing up with the three games I had for it. (My parents hardly bought video games for me as a kid. I'm glad I can buy them for myself now.) One of those games happened to be Castlevania Bloodlines.
My parents letting me play that game at the young age I was was the worst thing ever. Blood dripping from mutilated bodies that hung from the ceiling, and just blood in general, it was probably the first game I ever played that was that graphic. Good thing I never payed attention to that stuff.
Anyway, I am a huge fan of the Castlevania music, and this track is one of my favorites from the game.
The reason why I like this song is not because of all the heavy synth, it is also because it fits with the stage. The stage is the Leaning Tower of Pisa, which is in Italy (obviously.) Once inside the tower everything gets all twisted and such. There is a segment where the tower is sinking (sorta) while swaying back and forth, which usually gets me dizzy. With all of that aside, it is still a fun level to traverse.
