OC Backstory (Part 3)
After some time spent in his home tinkering with the idea of magic containment and redirection, he realised how magic in different forms can be contained and used for different purposes. In due course, and with the help of some of the local unicorns, he learned to trap stun spells inside containers and release them at will in a device. He immediately realised the potential of this to aid in the security of Equestria, by being able to contain any kind of weaponised spell as a weapon.
However, he didnt believe that he should deliver the technology to the Royal Guard. His opinion on the Royal Guard didnt improve over the months since he left. However, he knew that he wouldnt be allowed to harbour such a technology vital to Equestria's defence. At a loss, he went to Canterlot and waited in the Royal Court to seek the Princesses guidance.
He patiently waited for his turn over the course of the day. When he got the opportunity to speak to Princess Celestia, he put forward his idea and showed her the prototype weapon and the contained stun spell. When he finished his lines, Celestia's demeanour was different. She signalled to the guards, and they escorted him into the hallway with the Princess. Typh was genuinely afraid something terrible would happen to him, and was one of the most terrifying experiences he had. Walking along the empty hallways with two guards behind him and Celestia in front. They reached a large conference room in the castle. There, Celestia questioned Typh, about how he discovered such an idea and how he was able to create it. Typh told the truth, and said he created it from his thoughts on magical energy as well as his training.
Celestia then questioned why Typh didnt wish to hand it over to the Royal Guards, seeing that defence matters were their domain. Typh was scared of such a question, and couldnt give a coherent answer. Celestia asked Typh again, but this time, Typh kept quiet. With no choice, Celestia ordered for his service records to be pulled up for her to read. Typh sat there quietly as the Princess read the file, scared of how the situation might turn out. After finishing, her look changed again. This time, she seems more intrigued. She ordered the guards out, leaving just the two of them. Celestia told Typh that she could guess why Typhoon was so reluctant to present to the guards. Typh could only nod weakly. Princess Celestia then asked what Typh was good at. He listed down his interests and talents, economics, sciences, keeping ponies safe. Once again, the answer intrigued Celestia even more. She then noted that Typh was a capable leader. This confused him. He never saw himself as a leader, more as a radical.
To prove it, Celestia read out a summary written by his Commanding Officer, the same one who dismissed him multiple times in the Changeling invasion. He noted that Typh may not have followed orders, but had his own unique brand of asymmetric logic that defied systems and rules, just simply attacking the problem at its source. With that, it dawned on Typh that he was, in fact, a leader himself. With this, Typh came up with another idea, and offered it to Celestia. She listened intently, and agreed to the idea.
