And Now I'm Back!

I've only just come back from the Nationals race, so bear with me if this post seems choppy and/or short.

 

First off:

 

I got in a crazy fistfight. I took on, like, ten guys and they were ALL, like, six-foot ten inches tall and ripped and...

 

Okay, I can't lie. I just got a bad nosebleed. Going from cold and damp to a pressurized cabin 30,000 feet in the air to dry and hot does wonders to my nose.

Second off:

 

Last night was the opening ceremonies, hosted by USATF. I met a girl there but that isn't important. What IS important is the horde of small children I had to contend with for seating.

People...people as far as the eye can see...I don't like crowds.

 

 

Third and most pertaining to you guys and gals:

I told you guys I would represent, and I did. If the bottom looks a little crooked, it's because I had to dab it on bit by bit because all I had was a little bit left in a water bottle and I suck at art. No one said anything, but still.

 

 

So yeah, that was my day. I'm gonna go pass out for a couple days.

Wow, I totally forgot to include how I did. xD

 

I placed 116th out of about 170 runners and ran a 19:10. My personal best is 17:38. But I'm not used to running in hot, dry, and at 5,000 feet up. I need my sea level!

I JUST HAD AN ENTIRE, LIKE, FOUR PARAGRAPHS OF TEXT AND THE FORUMS DELETED IT. :(

The venue was crazy. Leo Manzano (silver medalist at the 2012 Olympics in the 1500m) was there, and he signed my racing spikes. :D

The race was even crazier. My roadkill count (how many people I pass during a race) was flying higher faster than a speedometer on a highway in Kansas.
