What To Blog, What To Blog?

Hello there people of the forums (or at least however many of you may be reading this)

Lately I've been finding myself with a lot of free time and a strong desire to work on my writing. However, I'm finding that I'm a bit on the rusty side, and thought that starting a blog might be a good way to "grease the wheels" and motivate me to practice more. The question remains though, what would I blog about? I have a lot of options to choose from, and could see myself enjoying any one of them. I figure that posing the question to you, my lovely readers, might help me make a decision, as encouragement from all of you would likely be what motivates me to actually update this blog on a regular basis, and the more people actually care about what I say here, the more motivation I'll have. So, without further ado, here are some options to choose from -

  • A "flash fiction" blog - You provide prompts, I turn them into very short stories. Make me practice my creative writing and in return read stuff about your OC/favorite ship/whatever you want me to write about
  • Writer's Corner - I provide weekly writing tips, simple as that
  • A "daily life" blog - A more simple thing where I just talk about the shenanigans I get up to, which would be easy to write because I get up to a lot of shenanigans
  • A Review Blog - This one is extremely overdone, but I think there are ways in which I could still put my own spin on such a blog. Just don't expect me to do episode reviews of My Little Pony, unless I have something I really want to say I think there are enough of those already

Other ideas welcome, just tell me what you might actually care to read from time to time (if anyone actually reads this post in the first place...)

I like this one the most, if you ask me. It gives you a base to work with, but just about enought freedom to let your writting to bloom without hindering your ideas and/or wishes.

But like always, it's mah opinion *shrugs*

This one, Elo.

Writer's corner won't allow you to practice writing because you'll be swimming in theories mostly.

Daily life is not about writing stories, but about writing anything that happens to you, basically. You don't really practice and test your creativity this way since you work on an already predefined events and just describe them.

As for reviews blog, I'll admit that I don't read them. There are so many of them and people have so many varying opinions that it's like walking down the street and asking everyone what they think about, f.e., Game of Thrones. Everyone will have their own opinion to state and they'll walk away afterwards.

Flash fiction, however, gives your imagination a chance to work and at once puts a challenge to your writing skills since you're forced to work on something that doesn't necessarily lie in your area of comfort.

And it's an obviously known fact that if you want to learn anything in life, you'll need to step out from the field in which you feel comfortable and venture on some unknown lands.
