Only 10 of its Xcelsior models carrying the XDE designation as a hybrids.

Fare Collection: There is currently no contactless card payment system in Detroit and there are currently no plans to create one. However many tech companies in Suburban Detroit have submitted low cost proposals which would be able to fill this gap in fare coverage.
Livery: Detroit's bus fleet contains green and yellow themes on a white black drop. DDOT does sell the sides of its fleet for advertising space.
