My 4 Favorite Ponies ♥♥♥♥

This list is completely subjective and only has subjective reasons behind each place. I don't know a thing about story/character theory, so you automatically win every debate against me in that regard ever

4. Princess Celestia

In canon, Celestia was the well praised princess that everypony loved and Luna got ignored. In the fandom, the opposite is true. Luna is praised to no end and Celestia's often ignored. I think this is because a lot of introverts relate to her, behind introverted, hidden, an underdog, or just simply a night owl. I love Celestia because she's the underappreciated leader no one gives enough credit to. She's also quiet an introvert, given how little she acts in the show and even how she hates The Grand Galloping Gala, a big fancy party full of socializing with other fancy rich people

I relate to her really well. We're both introverts who aren't in the limelight yet still have an influence in our own worlds. More like I had an influence and calling it an influence is definitely a delusion of grandeur. I'm not a king. There's also the trollestia and other fanon personality of hers ♥ that I relate to well too

3. THE GREAT & POWERFUL TRiXiE

This pony won my heart the moment I saw her. She's such a showoff. Again, my love is another matter of relatedness. I love showing off too. Back when I played Smash Bros Melee competitively, I almost never played to win. I almost never researched how to win, almost never practiced in the game, and only played on my own strategies only with other players. Practicing and researching alone is boring. I aim to entertain and some have told me they enjoy seeing me play. We're both actors with emanating personas. She's great and powerful whereas I love to satire and tell everyone I have no skill. There is some truth to what I say, but let's be serious for 1 sentence about my skill. I have some, but I do stupid things, and when they work, it's even stupider, because my opponents are. No hate

2. Maud Pie

This pony won my heart more instantly than any other. I rewatched Maud Pie 3 times in a span of 3 days when I 1st saw this episode. It brings such a good light to very introverted people. They may be weird and difficult to talk to or befriend, especially if they have a focused obsession with only a certain topic and weird social behaviors, but they're secretly good people

1. Starlight Glimmer

Call me an SJW. I'd love to pretend to be 1 for trolling fun. But really, I love her because she has an ideology to create a perfect world and she works to achieve it. She's the most pacifistic villain in the show yet also the most powerful. She's the only pony in MLP lore who could use Starlight The Bearded's time travel spell more than once. Her use of it drastically changed the universe's fate 7 times (creating 8 parallel universes?). And she did this primarily through nonviolent means. She was fighting to fulfill an ideology. She lost twice by having her ideology proven wrong. There's no villain better than her in power, story, nor friendship ♥

But I still respect some of her ideology she tries to bring to the world. Her exact ideology of equalizing everyone by limiting their talents to nothing isn't the right way to go about it. People have differences, including differences in abilities. Those outcomes shouldn't be equalized, they should be embraced. My own ideology I'd like to see in the world is an equality in contribution to each other. Take a look at the Smash community for example. That place has the worst equality of contribution I've ever seen. Everyone gives so much support to the Melee community and the Melee community gives nothing or shit in return. I understand that Brawl is a bad sequel to Melee and it cut Melee's player count in half during the 1st 6 months of Brawl, but I disagree with the bashing of Brawl and its players. I know they have their freedom of speech, but I won't stop them from insulting anything they don't like. They have understandable reasons. Thankfully, they didn't bash Smash 4 as hard as they bashed Brawl, so some of my ideology has been achieved

Brawl and Smash 4 helped Melee in ways that might not be appreciated. Brawl players donated a lot of money during the Breast Cancer Research Foundation donation contest that EVO held in 2013. Ever since July that year, Brawl tanked in popularity and Melee soared. Does anyone else find it unfair? What's also unfair is how Mlee gets featured at so many FGC tournaments and Melee players almost never host anything for the FGC at their own events. The exposure to boost popularity is unidirectionally in Melee's favor, greatly. No fighting game ever had as much growth as Melee

I can't do much of anything to push my own ideology onto others. I shouldn't tell others what to do. At 1st I tried playing Street Fighter and Guilty Gear and uploading videos to my channel. But then I stopped because it created too much stress and didn't help me grow my channel. In the end, I just left. There is no room for casual gaming in Melee's competitive scene. My current choices of games benefit me better and I do what I'm good at to benefit viewers online who enjoy casual funny moments in games

Melee can't give back to the developer of the game like other esports games can. There's no way to keep bringing in revenue from active players because there's simply no DLC. Melee players don't buy the new consoles nor Smashes, generally. Modern esports games have DLC to support the developers and the developers in return support their competitive scenes. What could be a better equality of contribution?

(No proofreading for fun ^.^)

Also, Twilight Sparkle is cannonically the best pony. Proof!
