A member of the forum posted this topic on the forum and I thought it would be fun to respond to this.

You could listen to it if you want, but I'm just going to respond to some of the things they said.

Okay, so first things first, one of the men on the show immediately assumes bronies like the show for sexual reasons which I guess is not entirely inaccurate(yes, I am looking at you cloppers...I'm totally kidding...I'm not judging any one). I wouldn't say that every person who is a brony is a clopper, obviously. If I were to draw comparisons to the anime community I would see that as being the "ecchi" part of the brony fandom. The perverted anime fans who like boobs and panty shots of which I do not associate with...I'm kidding, of course.

I think it was wrong of them to judge someone on based solely liking MLP. However, I don't think the people who called in talking about bronies they knew necessarily helped changed their opinion of bronies. It seemed like the two men on the talk show were somehow threatened by the idea of men liking MLP. I sort of feel like masculinity and gender roles are toxic. I think it just sucks that we are sort of slaves to it. I think it is people's own insecurities that dictate how they view someone. Anything that does not fit their definition of what a man should be is immediately thought of as strange or weird.

Gonna dial it back a bit...
